BACTERIAL LYSATES FOR LOCAL ADMINISTRATION IN PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF CHRONIC ADENOIDITIS AMONG CHILDREN
The article deals with the research findings of the application efficiency of bacterial immunocorrector IRS 19 (Solvay Pharam, France) among children, suffering from chronic adenoiditis and hypertroc PHY adenoid vegetations of II–III degrees. The author ascertains that treatment by bacterial immunocorrector has led to quicker and more qualitative normalization of the lymphoid tissue volumes, than nasal pharynx irrigation by salines. The application of bacterial immunocorrector during chronic adenoiditis has contributed to normalization of nasopharyngeal secretion boicenosis and considerably decreased the degree of pathogenic flora dissemination. Another proof for that is reduction of the number of adenoiditis exacerbation by 2 times, duration of all the exacerbations by 3 times, as well as reduction of the disease duration. The research findings allow advising introduction of the bacterial immunocorrector into the planned seasonal programs of the annual treatment (no less than 2–3 times a year) of children with chronic adenoiditis.Key words: children, chronic adenoiditis, treatment, prevention.</strong

BACTERIAL LYSATES FOR TOPICAL APPLICATION IN PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF CHRONIC TONSILLITIS AMONG CHILDREN
The authors have carried on the research of the influence Imudon exerts (during topical application) on the run of chronic tonsillitis among 48 children aged between 5 and 10 years old, being dispensary registrants. The sublingual application of a medicine 6 pills daily within 20 days demonstrated the frequency reduction of chronic tonsillitis acerbations by 2.9 times, as well as the reduction of total need in systemic antibacterial treatment by 10 times. Apart from that, the frequency of S. pyogenes group a exposure reduced by 3 times. The researchers noticed the tendency to normalization of pharynx biocenosis. Thus, Imudon may be recommended for the daily courses of treatment to the people, suffering from chronic tonsillitis, palatine tonsil auxesis and recurrent tonsillo-pharyngites.Key words: chronic tonsillitis, children, prevention, bacterial lysates
BACTERIAL LYSATES MIXTURE FOR THE TOPICAL ADMINISTRATION IN PROPHYLAXIS AND TREATMENT OF CHRONIC TONSILLITIS IN CHILDREN
Chronic tonsillitis is the infectious and allergic disease; the main clinical symptom of this disease is chronic inflammation of palatine tonsils. The prevalence of chronic tonsillitis is up to 10% among adults and 15% — among children. Undoubtedly, the prevention of exacerbations of chronic tonsillitis is difficult task. Its significant component is immunocorrection with elements of vaccinal process, because tonsils themselves are the part of forming immune system of a child. Imudon can be recommended for the inclusion to the yearly prophylactic treatment courses in patients with chronic tonsillitis, hypertrophy of palatine tonsils and recurrent tonsillopharyngitis.Key words: children, chronic tonsillitis, prophylaxis, treatment, bacterial lysates mixture.(Voprosy sovremennoi pediatrii — Current Pediatrics. 2009;8(6):109-112
EVALUATION OF EFFECTIVENESS OF SUSPENSION OF BACTERIAL LYSATES IN PROPHYLAXIS AND TREATMENT OF CHRONIC ADENOIDITIS IN CHILDREN
The article describes results of a treatment of children 4–7 years old with chronic adenoiditis and adenoid hypertrophy II–III degree. It was shown that inclusion of topical bacterial immunocorrector IRS 19 in treatment scheme resulted in rapid and qualitative normalization of lymphoid tissue volume and biocoenosis of nasopharyngeal secretion, and in significant decrease of pathogenic contamination of nasopharynx. The treatment resulted in lessening (during 3 months of observation after treatment compared to 3 months previous to treatment) of number of exacerbations of adenoiditis, decrease of total duration of all exacerbations and shortening of terms of single cases of disease.Key words: children, chronic adenoiditis, hypertrophy of adenoids, mixture of bacterial lysates, treatment.(Voprosy sovremennoi pediatrii — Current Pediatrics. 2010;9(2):109-112
PROPHYLACTIC EFFECTIVENESS OF FUSAFUNGINE IN CHILDREN WITH CHRONIC TONSILLITIS
In 2008/2009, at the time of influenza epidemic, the study of ambulatory prophylactic treatment of fusafungine (Bioparox) in 50 children 7–15 years old with chronic tonsillitis was performed. All these children underwent regular ENT check-up. The control group included 50 schoolchildren the same age without chronic diseases of upper airways. After the treatment with intranasal fusafungine, the amount of patients with Streptococcus pyogenes was decreased 1,6 times low (and after 3 months of treatment it was decreased 3,5 times low). The sanation of palatine tonsils from Candida albicans was detected (eradication of microorganism was achieved in 58% of cases, and the amount of patients with pharyngomycosis was decreased 2,4 times low). Patient’s quality of life significantly increased, and ENT-specialists met less complaints (in 4,5–15 times low). The morbidity with respiratory infections in 3 months after the treatment with fusafungine was 7,5 times low than in control group.Key words: schoolchildren, chronic tonsillitis, acute respiratory infection, fusafungine.(Voprosy sovremennoi pediatrii — Current Pediatrics. 2010;9(1):26-31
Preventive and therapeutic application of Hib and pneumococcal vaccines among children, who are prone to frequent and prolonged recurrent otites media
THE AIM OF THE RESEARCH WAS TO ASSESS THE CLINIC EFFECTIVENESS OF A COMBINED APPLICATION OF SUCH VACCINES AS: ACTBHIB AND PNEUMO 23 (SANOFI PASTEUR, FRANCE) IN CHILDREN, WHO ARE PRONE TO FREQUENT AND PROLONGED RECURRENT OTITES MEDIA. DURING 2004 AND 2005, 153 CHILDREN AGED BETWEEN 2 AND 12 YEARS OLD WERE IMMUNIZED AND OBSERVED. THE CONTROL GROUP WAS MADE UP OF 30 CHILDREN, WHOSE PARENTS REFUSED TO PARTICIPATE IN VACCINATION. THE CHILDREN OF BOTH GROUPS WERE COMPARABLE. THE FINDINGS OF THE RESEARCH SHOWED HIGH PREVENTIVE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE COMBINED IMMUNIZATION, WHICH PROVIDED A 3BFOLD REDUCTION OF ACUTE RESPIRATORY INFECTIONS AND RECURRENT OTITES, A REDUCTION OF ANTIBACTERIAL THERAPY PRESCRIPTION BY MORE THAN 8 TIMES AND A REDUCTION OF H. INFLUENZAE AND PNEUMOCOCCUS CARRIAGE BY 9 TIMES. IN THE GROUP OF IMMUNIZED CHILDREN, THE RESEARCHERS OBSERVED A REDUCTION OF ADENOID VEGETATION AUXESIS, RECOVERY OF AUDITORY TUBE PASSABILITY IN 85% OF CASES ALONG WITH THE PRESSURE NORMALIZATION IN TYMPANIC CAVITY. THEREFORE, THESE FINDINGS ALLOW TO EXPAND INDICATIONS FOR THE COMBINED IMMUNIZATION BY VACCINES AGAINST HIBB AND PNEUMOCOCCAL INFECTION, AS WELL AS TO PURSUE IMMUNIZATION WITH PNEUMO 23 AND ACT-HIB VACCINES BY PNEUMO 23 AND ACTBHIB IN CHILDREN, WHO ARE PRONE TO FREQUENT AND PROLONGED RECURRENT OTITES MEDIA AND ADENOID VEGETATION AUXESIS.KEY WORDS: VACCINATION, CHILDREN, H. Противовирусные и иммуномодулирующие эффекты Энгистола
Respiratory tract infections are among the most common diseases. Most upper respiratory tract infections (URTI) are viral in nature. More than 200 types of viruses, including influenza, parainfluenza, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), rhinovirus (HRV) and adenovirus (AV), may be the cause of URTI; in some cases, other infectious agents are the cause. The most common pathogens are rhinoviruses, which account for more than 50 per cent of the URTI. The article presents data on the efficacy of Engystol®, a complex drug containing low doses of active ingredients and used for prevention and symptomatic treatment of a number of viral diseases.
