The Janus Face of Cross-Platform Spillover: Who Reap the Benefits?

    Get PDF
The booming of online platforms has attracted academia’s increasing interest in cross-platform spillover of product consumption. This study investigates how physicians’ content creation in Tik Tok influences patients’ demands, comments and satisfaction towards the physicians on online health communities (OHCs). Using the difference-in-differences approach, we uncover asymmetric influences of cross-platform spillovers for high- and low-awareness physicians in Tik Tok. Specifically, low-awareness physicians do not enjoy the benefits (i.e., the increased volume of orders and comments on OHC) from content creation in Tik Tok, but their ratings turn to decline due to attention distraction caused by cross-platform activities. Conversely, for high-awareness physicians, we find a positive cross-platform spillover effect for orders and comments on OHC without decreasing their ratings. Despite the existence of attention distraction from cross-platform services for high-awareness physicians, the negative impact on feedbacks is offset by higher ratings from their cross-platform consumers

Construction Method of Tender Document Based on Case-based Reasoning

The core activities of tender documents compilation are to collect similar historical tender documents, select compilation templates of tender documents and revise templates of tender documents partially. However, when the historical tender documents have accumulated to a certain amount, it becomes extremely difficult for compilers to summary, reuse and revise templates artificially in traditional compiling methods. Based on casebased reasoning (CBR), this paper studied the content recommendation method in the process of tender document construction. Firstly, a structured model of tender documents was constructed, and similar tender cases were retrieved from the tender case database according to the characteristics of tender cases; Secondly, the non-interference sequence index was used to measure the similarity of clauses used in similar tender cases, and the recommended sequences of reference template and content module of tender documents were constructed, which realized the recommendation of compiling templates of tender documents and partial revision of templates; Finally, the knowledge of the new tender case was updated. The empirical analysis shows that the construction method of tender documents based on case-based reasoning not only proposes a suitable strategy for compiling tender documents, but also improves the compilation efficiency of tender documents

Robust Adaptive Stabilization of Nonholonomic Mobile Robots with Bounded Disturbances

The stabilization problem of nonholonomic mobile robots with unknown system parameters and environmental disturbances is investigated in this paper. Considering the dynamic model and the kinematic model of mobile robots, the transverse function approach is adopted to construct an additional control parameter, so that the closed-loop system is not underactuated. Then the adaptive backstepping method and the parameter projection technique are applied to design the controller to stabilize the system. At last, simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed controller schemes
