    Development of an ultrasound sensor

Aerobatic or military aircrafts are capable of doing very dangerous maneuver in unusual attitudes. This type of maneuver would subject the pilots to a certain amount of gravitational force or also known as G force which is many times that of normal gravity. In order for the pilot to remain conscious during flight, the heart system of the pilot has to adapt and response quickly to the G force. Failure to do so would cause the pilot to lose consciousness and control of the plane; leading to unimaginable disasters and consequences. In light of the potential risks involved, the development of an ultrasound sensor for the measurement of the blood flow through the pilot’s head under substantial G force was thus, proposed. This project would serve as a warning device for the pilot when the blood pressure had reached its peak. The Author had to set up an experiment test gig to measure the ideal distance in the X, Y, Z axis for the transducer to receive the signal from the ultrasound sensor.Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering
