Estrategias de afrontamiento en pacientes con c谩ncer de mama en tratamiento de quimioterapia en un Instituto Nacional Oncol贸gico de Lima Metropolitana
El presente estudio tiene como objetivo determinar el Nivel de Estrategias de
Afrontamiento en Pacientes con C谩ncer de Mama en Tratamiento de Quimioterapia
en un Instituto Nacional Oncol贸gico de Lima Metropolitana. Esta investigaci贸n es
de tipo descriptivo, con un dise帽o no experimental; y la muestra censal estuvo
conformada por 80 pacientes mujeres entre 30 y 75 a帽os de edad, las cuales se
encuentran en tratamiento de quimioterapia. El instrumento utilizado para esta
investigaci贸n fue el Inventario de Estrategias de Afrontamiento adaptado por Cano,
Rodr铆guez & Garc铆a en 2006. Los resultados revelan que el nivel de Estrategias de
Afrontamiento fue Muy Alto. El 48% de los pacientes mostraron aceptaci贸n al
tratamiento y capacidad para adecuarse a las soluciones frente a los componentes
estresores o de conflicto. Por otro lado, uno de cada tres pacientes (31,9%)
present贸 un Nivel Bajo de afrontamiento, evidenciando deficiencias o bajas
estrategias frente a est铆mulos inquietantes. Ante esta realidad, se ha propuesto un
programa de intervenci贸n con el objetivo de reforzar y mantener las estrategias de
afrontamiento adquiridas.The objective of the present study is to define the level of coping strategies for brea
st cancer patients in treatment with chemotherapy in a National Cancer Institute in
Lima Metropolitana. This investigation is of descriptive type, with a non-experimental
design; in which the census sample was made up by 80 female patients between
30 and 75 years old, which are in chemotherapy treatment. The instrument used for
this investigation was the inventory of coping strategies adaptes by Cano,
Rodr铆guez & Garc铆a in 2006. The results of this investigation showed that the level
of coping strategies was very high. The 48% of the patients showed acceptance to
the treatment and adaptability to the solutions facing the stressors or conflict
components. On the other hand, one in three patients (31.9%) presented a low level
of coping, proving deficiencies or low strategies facing disturbing stimuli. Faced with
this reality, an intervention programs been proposed with the objective to reinforce
and maintain the acquired coping strategies
