The purpose of the research is to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the new spring barley variety ‘in Memory of Dudin’ on economically valuable signs. Studies were carried out in 2016-2019. The spring barley variety “in Memory of Dudin’ was created by the method of directional individual selection from the variant with treatment of spring barley variety ‘Bios 1’ with laser red light (wavelength 632.8 nm, continuous irradiation mode, beam power density 0.3 mW/cm2) for 60 minutes, followed by soaking in a solution of sodium carbonate with a concentration of 0,1n for 12 hours. Ear of the plant has average length 8.9 cm, the number of spikelets and the grain in the ear are medium (25.6 pcs. and 24.3 pcs. respectively). The 1000-grain weight is high - 49.2 g. Culm has an average length of 72.4 cm. The average yield over the years of the study was 4.6 tons/ha, the maximum one - 7.02 tons/ha in 2019. Dry matter ash content 2.2%, fiber content 3.65%, starch content 52.61%, fat content 1.65%, protein content 10.19%; extractability 77.0%. The variety ripens 4-7 days earlier than the standard. Based on a comprehensive assessment, the spring barley variety of “in Memory of Dudin’ was transferred to the State Variety Test in 2020

Patterns of development of advanced clonal apple rootstocks of the Michurinsk State Agrarian University selection in the mother plantation

This paper reveals main patterns of development of advanced clonal apple rootstocks of the Michurinsk State Agrarian University selection in the mother plantation. The studied growth and development indicators of shoots, as well as the level of their rooting in 40 genotypes, demonstrate significant heterogeneity of hybrid plants, which is due to their different genetic origin and the associated unequal growth force of parent shrubs. Correlations between the main quantitative morphological characters of parent shrubs of the studied genotypes were revealed. An interrelation of the height of the parent shrub and the area of its leaf surface is noted - on the expectation of 0.71 shoot; for the entire uterine shrub – of 0.45; between the output of standard layering from the shrub and the average rooting score (at 0.72). Promising clonal rootstocks with high yield indices in the mother plantation have been identified

Development and Validation of a Method of Liquid Chromatography Coupled with Tandem Mass Spectrometry for Quantification of ST-246 (Tecovirimat) in Human Plasma

The aim of this work was to develop and validate a sensitive and robust method of liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry to quantitate ST-246 (tecovirimat) in plasma using an internal standard (2-hydroxy-N-{3,5-dioxo-4-azatetracyclo [5.3.2.02.6.08.10]dodec-11-en-4-yl}-5-methylbenzamide). The method was validated in negative multiple reaction monitoring mode following recommendations of the European Medicines Agency for the validation of bioanalytical methods. The calibration curve for the analyte was linear in the 10–2500 ng/mL range with determination coefficient R2 > 0.99. Intra- and inter-day accuracy and precision for three concentrations of quality control were <15%. Testing of long-term stability of ST-246 (tecovirimat) in plasma showed no degradation at −20 °C for at least 3 months. The method was applied to a clinical assay of a new antipoxvirus compound, NIOCH-14. Thus, the proposed method is suitable for therapeutic drug monitoring of ST-246 (tecovirimat) itself and of NIOCH-14 as its metabolic precursor
