Some cytological observation in the Loganiaceae IV
This paper, the fourth in this series, presents some new data on chromosome numbers of the Loganiaceae. 6 species will be treated, of which five had not been investigated cytologically before
Variatie en hybridisatie bij enkele taxa van het genus Symphytum
Two different hybrids in the genus Symphytum were collected in the Dutch province of Limburg, the first near Terziet (2n = 36), the second in Gulpen and on the Dolsberg between Gulpen and Wijlre (2n = 44). The first mentioned plants were indistinguishable from artificial hybrids between the 2n = 40 form of S. officinale and S. asperum (2n = 32), the other hybrids were identical with the backcross of S. x uplandicum (2n = 40) with the officinale parent (2n = 48). These hybrids were compared with some other intraspecific hybrids of S. officinale and with other hybrids between S. officinale and S. asperum
Some notes on Ornithogalum umbellatum L. and Ornithogalum divergens Bor
Dutch material of Ornithogalum umbellatum L. sensu lato was cytologically investigated. Two cytotypes appeared to occur, with the chromosome numbers 2n = 27 and 2n = 54. A description of the triploid and hexaploid plants is given. The triploids should be assigned to O. umbellatum, the hexaploids may be assigned provisionally to O. divergens Bor. The taxonomic status of the latter species is discussed. Further research is required for the solution of the taxonomic problems
