    Classical Integrable N=1 and N=2N= 2 Super Sinh-Gordon Models with Jump Defects

    The structure of integrable field theories in the presence of jump defects is discussed in terms of boundary functions under the Lagrangian formalism. Explicit examples of bosonic and fermionic theories are considered. In particular, the boundary functions for the N=1 and N=2 super sinh-Gordon models are constructed and shown to generate the Backlund transformations for its soliton solutions. As a new and interesting example, a solution with an incoming boson and an outgoing fermion for the N=1 case is presented.     Dressing approach to the nonvanishing boundary value problem for the AKNS hierarchy

    We propose an approach to the nonvanishing boundary value problem for integrable hierarchies based on the dressing method. Then we apply the method to the AKNS hierarchy.     Vertex Operators and Soliton Solutions of Affine Toda Model with U(2) Symmetry

    The symmetry structure of non-abelian affine Toda model based on the coset SL(3)/SL(2)⊗U(1)SL(3)/SL(2)\otimes U(1) is studied. It is shown that the model possess non-abelian Noether symmetry closing into a q-deformed SL(2)⊗U(1)SL(2)\otimes U(1) algebra.     Production of optical phase space vortices with non-locally distributed mode converters

    Optical vortices have been observed in a wide variety of optical systems. They can be observed directly in the wavefront of optical beams, or in the correlations between pairs of entangled photons. We present a novel optical vortex which appears in a non-local plane of the two-photon phase space, composed of a single degree of freedom of each photon of an entangled pair. The preparation of this vortex can be viewed as a "non-local" or distributed mode converter. We show how these novel optical vortices of arbitrary order can be prepared in the spatial degrees of freedom of entangled photons.Comment: To appear in upcoming special issue "Orbital Angular Momentum" of the Journal of Optic
