La création d’une filière meunerie et la restauration d’un moulin à vent, conjuguées à la valorisation du patrimoine culturel et touristique du Causse Méjean, ont motivé une étude du bâti sur le site du moulin à vent puis dans un second temps d’un habitat situé à proximité, lequel fait l’objet de cette note. Notre investissement s’est porté en 2015 sur la fouille intégrale de deux bâtiments accolés et l’étude de leur bâti. Cet ensemble « habitat » se trouve exactement (mur externe four 1008) ..

Organisation spatio-temporelle des activites individuelles et sociales dans une troupe de Cercopithecus cephus

A monospecific troop of Cercopithecus cephus was followed for five months using the radio-tracking method. Temporal and spatial distribution of the activities is described. Two peaks of locomotion are found in the first half of the morning and the second half of the afternoon. Phytophagy follows the same rhythm, while feeding on prey and resting increase at mid-day. Strong daily variations are shown in forest type usage according to the activity p erformed. The more open and tallest forest is chosen during the night and for fruit gathering, while the densest and lowest one is significantly preferred for resting. Parallel daily variations are found in the forest level usage : resting, insect hunting and social interactions occur at levels lower than locomotion and fruit gathering. The total time spent feeding does not differ between the age classes, however the time spent feeding on insects decreases with age while phytophagy increases. The young are found at significantly lower levels than the adults. The adult male stays higher than the other troop members, especially when resting. Inter-individual distances are lowest between females and young, while the adult male has a more peripheral position. Troop cohesion is higher at the end of the day. New range limits of the sun-tailed monkey, Cercopithecus solatus, in Central Gabon

Cercopithecus solatus is a recently discovered monkey endemic to Gabon, present in parts of the Lopé National Park and the Forêt des Abeilles in the center of the country. It is listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List (2010) due to its restricted extent of occurrence and continuing decline in population caused by high hunting pressure. All known field observations of this species are compiled here. Data collected since 1999 show that C. solatus occurs further to the south, east, and west than was previously known, and that its extent of occurrence almost certainly includes three national parks, rather than one

Risk factors and prognostic value of endotoxemia in patients with acute myocardial infarction

BackgroundThere is increasing evidence regarding the association between endotoxemia and the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis and myocardial infarction (MI). During the acute phase of MI, endotoxemia might increase inflammation and drive adverse cardiovascular (CV) outcomes. We aimed to explore the risk factors and prognostic value of endotoxemia in patients admitted for acute MI.MethodsPatients admitted to the coronary care unit of Dijon University Hospital for type 1 acute MI between 2013 and 2015 were included. Endotoxemia, assessed by plasma lipopolysaccharide (LPS) concentration, was measured by mass spectrometry. Major adverse CV events were recorded in the year following hospital admission.ResultsData from 245 consecutive MI patients were analyzed. LPS concentration at admission markedly increased with age and diabetes. High LPS concentration was correlated with metabolic biomarkers (glycemia, triglyceride, and total cholesterol) but not with CV (troponin Ic peak and N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide) or inflammatory biomarkers (C-reactive protein, IL6, IL8, and TNFα). LPS concentration was not associated with in-hospital or 1-year outcomes.ConclusionsIn patients admitted for MI, higher levels of endotoxins were related to pre-existing conditions rather than acute clinical severity. Therefore, endotoxins measured on the day of MI could reflect metabolic chronic endotoxemia rather than MI-related acute gut translocation

Predictors of hospital discharge and mortality in patients with diabetes and COVID-19: updated results from the nationwide CORONADO study

AIMS/HYPOTHESIS: This is an update of the results from the previous report of the CORONADO (Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 and Diabetes Outcomes) study, which aims to describe the outcomes and prognostic factors in patients with diabetes hospitalised for coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19). METHODS: The CORONADO initiative is a French nationwide multicentre study of patients with diabetes hospitalised for COVID-19 with a 28-day follow-up. The patients were screened after hospital admission from 10 March to 10 April 2020. We mainly focused on hospital discharge and death within 28 days. RESULTS: We included 2796 participants: 63.7% men, mean age 69.7 ± 13.2 years, median BMI (25th-75th percentile) 28.4 (25.0-32.4) kg/m(2). Microvascular and macrovascular diabetic complications were found in 44.2% and 38.6% of participants, respectively. Within 28 days, 1404 (50.2%; 95% CI 48.3%, 52.1%) were discharged from hospital with a median duration of hospital stay of 9 (5-14) days, while 577 participants died (20.6%; 95% CI 19.2%, 22.2%). In multivariable models, younger age, routine metformin therapy and longer symptom duration on admission were positively associated with discharge. History of microvascular complications, anticoagulant routine therapy, dyspnoea on admission, and higher aspartate aminotransferase, white cell count and C-reactive protein levels were associated with a reduced chance of discharge. Factors associated with death within 28 days mirrored those associated with discharge, and also included routine treatment by insulin and statin as deleterious factors. CONCLUSIONS/INTERPRETATION: In patients with diabetes hospitalised for COVID-19, we established prognostic factors for hospital discharge and death that could help clinicians in this pandemic period. Differential cross section measurements for the production of a W boson in association with jets in proton–proton collisions at √s = 7 TeV

Measurements are reported of differential cross sections for the production of a W boson, which decays into a muon and a neutrino, in association with jets, as a function of several variables, including the transverse momenta (pT) and pseudorapidities of the four leading jets, the scalar sum of jet transverse momenta (HT), and the difference in azimuthal angle between the directions of each jet and the muon. The data sample of pp collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV was collected with the CMS detector at the LHC and corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 5.0 fb[superscript −1]. The measured cross sections are compared to predictions from Monte Carlo generators, MadGraph + pythia and sherpa, and to next-to-leading-order calculations from BlackHat + sherpa. The differential cross sections are found to be in agreement with the predictions, apart from the pT distributions of the leading jets at high pT values, the distributions of the HT at high-HT and low jet multiplicity, and the distribution of the difference in azimuthal angle between the leading jet and the muon at low values.United States. Optimasi Portofolio Resiko Menggunakan Model Markowitz MVO Dikaitkan dengan Keterbatasan Manusia dalam Memprediksi Masa Depan dalam Perspektif Al-Qur`an

Risk portfolio on modern finance has become increasingly technical, requiring the use of sophisticated mathematical tools in both research and practice. Since companies cannot insure themselves completely against risk, as human incompetence in predicting the future precisely that written in Al-Quran surah Luqman verse 34, they have to manage it to yield an optimal portfolio. The objective here is to minimize the variance among all portfolios, or alternatively, to maximize expected return among all portfolios that has at least a certain expected return. Furthermore, this study focuses on optimizing risk portfolio so called Markowitz MVO (Mean-Variance Optimization). Some theoretical frameworks for analysis are arithmetic mean, geometric mean, variance, covariance, linear programming, and quadratic programming. Moreover, finding a minimum variance portfolio produces a convex quadratic programming, that is minimizing the objective function ðð¥with constraintsð ð 𥠥 ðandð´ð¥ = ð. The outcome of this research is the solution of optimal risk portofolio in some investments that could be finished smoothly using MATLAB R2007b software together with its graphic analysis
