Reconfigurable THz Yagi Antenna Based On Hybrid Graphene-Metal Layout
A reconfigurable THz Yagi antenna based on hybrid model combining graphene and metal is proposed. Based on this hybrid model, we designed a Yagi antenna whose radiation pattern can be reconfigured by changing the applied voltage on the parasite graphene elements
Synthesis of Lossy Filters without the Use of the Coupling Matrix
This paper describes a synthesis method based on an
even- and odd-mode decomposition capable of synthesizing a prescribed pair of transmission and reflection functions with very few additional constraints. Then it is also shown an analytical method to evaluate the characteristic polynomials of a lossy filter based on the exploitation of the degrees of freedom available in a lossy design.
This method can be used in conjunction with the proposed
synthesis method to obtain a simple and general procedure suitable for lossy filters
Grating-assisted LR-SPP coupling: introducing 3D numerical analysis
A full-wave Finite Element Method 3D numerical analysis of grating-assisted coupling of Long-Range Surface Plasmon Polariton modes into strip waveguides is introduced. For an input Gaussian beam and 1D grating coupler, comparison with commonly used 2D approximated analysis shows marked differences in coupling efficiency estimate
3D ANALYSIS OF GRATING PLASMONIC COUPLER
A 3D analysis of a plasmonic coupler has been carried out with a full wave FEM software. The coupler is realized with a 1D grating that is excited by a Gaussian beam. A comparison with the usual 2D approximated analysis available in the literature is shown and some interesting features of the 3D coupler are pointed out
