On Useful Conformal Tranformations In General Relativity
Local conformal transformations are known as a useful tool in various
applications of the gravitational theory, especially in cosmology. We describe
some new aspects of these transformations, in particular using them for
derivation of Einstein equations for the cosmological and Schwarzschild
metrics. Furthermore, the conformal transformation is applied for the
dimensional reduction of the Gauss-Bonnet topological invariant in to the
spaces of lower dimensions.Comment: 17 pages, LaTeX. The paper is intended mainly for pedagogical
purposes and represents a collection of exercises concerning local conformal
transformations and dimensional reduction. To be published in "Gravitation

Qualitative analysis of a scalar-tensor theory with exponential potential
A qualitative analysis of a scalar-tensor cosmological model, with an
exponential potential for the scalar field, is performed. The phase diagram for
the flat case is constructed. It is shown that solutions with an initial and
final inflationary behaviour appear. The conditions for which the scenario
favored by supernova type Ia observations becomes an attractor in the space of
the solutions are established.Comment: Latex file, 9 pages, 1 figur
Bilateral Breast Inflammatory Pseudotumor: A Clinical Report and Literature Review
Inflammatory pseudotumor (IP) is a benign lesion that can affect nearly any tissue in the body and which may be confused
clinically and in imaging for malignancy. Despite the widespread performance of breast biopsy, the finding of inflammatory
pseudotumor of the breast is exceedingly rare. Excision of the tumor is the treatment of choice, but there is a relatively high rate
of recurrence. The aim of this report is to describe the clinical, imaging, and pathologic features in a case of bilateral breast IP
