    Employment Services (ESs) are becoming more and more important for Public Administrations where their social implications on sustainability, workforce mobility and equal opportunities play a fundamental strategic importance for any central or local Government. The EU SEEMP project aims at improving facilitate workers mobility in Europe. Ontologies are used to model descriptions of job offers and curricula; and for facilitating the process of exchanging job offer data and CV data between ES. In this paper we present the methodological approach we followed for reusing existing human resources management standards in the SEEMP project, in order to build a common “language” called Reference Ontology

    BAYESIAN ANALYSIS OF THE COMPOUND COLLECTIVE MODEL: THE NET PREMIUM PRINCIPLE WITH EXPONENTIAL POISSON AND GAMMA–GAMMA DISTRIBUTIONS

    This article develops a Bayesian analysis of the Compound Collective Model utilizing the Net Premium Principle, considering single-period models. With respect to likelihoods, we used a Poisson distribution for the number of claims and an Exponential distribution for the severity of the accident/event. Gamma distributions were used for the prior distributions. The robustness of the posterior premium was analyzed with respect to the prior distribution specification of the severity of the accident/event, utilizing contamination classes, these being the class of all the distributions and that of all the unimodal distributions with the same mode. Numerical applications of the results obtained were performed.Compound collective model; Bayesian analysis; Robustness analysis.

    Diffusion dynamics on multiplex networks

    We study the time scales associated to diffusion processes that take place on multiplex networks, i.e. on a set of networks linked through interconnected layers. To this end, we propose the construction of a supra-Laplacian matrix, which consists of a dimensional lifting of the Laplacian matrix of each layer of the multiplex network. We use perturbative analysis to reveal analytically the structure of eigenvectors and eigenvalues of the complete network in terms of the spectral properties of the individual layers. The spectrum of the supra-Laplacian allows us to understand the physics of diffusion-like processes on top of multiplex networks.Comment: 6 Pages including supplemental material.     Assessment of Risk Factors for Injuries on Beaches

    The purpose of this study was to examine the risk factors for injuries on a beach. It is important to know all the risk fctors for injuries that can happen in a beach in order to prevent accidents. Risk factors were grouped in four main categories: beach morphology (BM), beach equipment (BE), lifeguard service (LS) and miscellaneous aspects (MA). All of them were evaluated according to their importance using a survey by Spanish and International experts. Descriptive analysis showed that LS is the main mechanism by which to reduce injuries on a beach. Lifeguard service in-service training is very important as are the affluence and activities developed by the beach patrons, the influences of weather and climate on the beach and other infrastructures as risk factors for dangers on beaches

    The energy efficiency of the ergodic fading relay channel

    In this paper, we address the energy ef ciency analysis of the relay channel under ergodic fading. The study considers full duplex and half duplex terminals. Since the capacity of general relay channels is unknown, we investigate achievable rates with decode and forward and capacity upper bounds with the cut-set bound. The maximum rate per energy and the slope of the spectral ef ciency with the energy per bit are computed to asses the impact of the duplexing capabilities, the resource allocation and the channel fading distribution.Postprint (published version
