    En este artículo, se realiza un pormenorizado análisis en torno a los mensajes políticos construidos por las asociaciones de inmigrantes que forman parte del Foro para la Integración Social de los Inmigrantes de España. Para ello, se ha optado por el uso del marco teórico del «análisis de marcos» (McAdams, McCarthy y Zald, 1999; Snow, Benford y Hunt, 1993), categoría analítica proveniente del «interaccionismo simbólico» de Goffman (1974), y que se considera como un elemento central en la formación de la identidad de los actores sociales y en su «actuación social», así como en la definición de problemáticas, causas y soluciones de sus reivindicaciones. Secundariamente, se esbozan las resonancias de sus propuestas y de sus programas políticos y sociales en diferentes «audiencias», con el objetivo de evaluar el impacto político de sus discursos.This article carries out a detailed analysis of the political messages constructed by the immigrants associations which are part of the Forum for the Social Integration of the Spain Immigrants. The author has opted to make use of the «frame analysis» theoretical mark (McAdams, McCarthy and Zald, 1999; Snow, Benford and Hunt, 1993), analytic category coming from the «symbolic interactionism» of Goffman (1974), considered as a central element in the identity formation of the social actors and in their «social performance», as well as in the definition of problematic, causes and solutions of their demands. Secondarily, the author addresses the resonance of their proposals and their political and social programs in different «audiences» in order to evaluate the political impact of their speeches

    Given any diagonal cyclic subgroup ΛGL(n+1,k)\Lambda \subset G L(n+1, k) of order dd, let Idk[x0,,xn]I_d \subset k\left[x_0, \ldots, x_n\right] be the ideal generated by all monomials {m1,,mr}\left\{m_1, \ldots, m_r\right\} of degree dd which are invariants of Λ.Id\Lambda . I_d is a monomial Togliatti system, provided r(d+n1n1)r \leq\left(\begin{array}{c}d+n-1 \\ n-1\end{array}\right), and in this case the projective toric variety XdX_d parameterized by (m1,,mr)\left(m_1, \ldots, m_r\right) is called a GTG T-variety with group Λ\Lambda. We prove that all these GTG T-varieties are arithmetically Cohen-Macaulay and we give a combinatorial expression of their Hilbert functions. In the case n=2n=2, we compute explicitly the Hilbert function, polynomial and series of XdX_d. We determine a minimal free resolution of its homogeneous ideal and we show that it is a binomial prime ideal generated by quadrics and cubics. We also provide the exact number of both types of generators. Finally, we pose the problem of determining whether a surface parameterized by a Togliatti system is aCM. We construct examples that are aCM and examples that are not

    Sumsets and Veronese varieties

    Full text link
    In this paper, to any subset AZn\mathcal{A} \subset \mathbb{Z}^n we explicitly associate a unique monomial projection Yn,dAY_{n, d_{\mathcal{A}}} of a Veronese variety, whose Hilbert function coincides with the cardinality of the tt-fold sumsets tAt \mathcal{A}. This link allows us to tackle the classical problem of determining the polynomial pAQ[t]p_{\mathcal{A}} \in \mathbb{Q}[t] such that tA=pA(t)|t \mathcal{A}|=p_{\mathcal{A}}(t) for all tt0t \geq t_0 and the minimum integer n0(A)t0n_0(\mathcal{A}) \leq t_0 for which this condition is satisfied, i.e. the so-called phase transition of tA|t \mathcal{A}|. We use the Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity and the geometry of Yn,dAY_{n, d_{\mathcal{A}}} to describe the polynomial pA(t)p_{\mathcal{A}}(t) and to derive new bounds for n0(A)n_0(\mathcal{A}) under some technical assumptions on the convex hull of A\mathcal{A}; and vice versa we apply the theory of sumsets to obtain geometric information of the varieties Yn,dAY_{n, d_{\mathcal{A}}}

    Risk Assessment under Uncertainty

    Get PDF
    System safety assessment (SSA) has become a standard practice in air traffic management (ATM). System safety assessment aims, through a systematic and formal process, to detect, quantify, and diminish the derived risks and to guarantee that critical safety systems achieve the level of safety approved by the regulatory authorities. Verification of compliance with the established safety levels becomes the last but an essential part of the safety assurance process. This chapter provides a Bayesian inference methodology to assess and evaluate the compliance with the established safety levels under the presence of uncertainty in the assessment of systems performances

    Designing and Developing New VET Curricula to Address Skills Gaps in the Aeronautics Industry

    Aeronautic industry is one of the enablers of the economic development and social insertion at European level, and it is one of the drivers of expansion of remote regions as far as it allows habitants, workers, and companies at these regions to expand their activities and areas of influence. The European aeronautics industry, including the commercial air transport, generates more than 220 billion of Euros and more than 4.5 million of jobs. These figures are expected to be double by 2030. Future developments in the sector, together with greater intra-European mobility of workers and population aging, bring a greater need for new skills in the work force together with an urgency for a larger number of professionals. Therefore, to achieve the desirable sustained growth the EU needs to invest in high-quality VET (vocational education and training) in order to be able to supply the AI (aeronautic industry) with qualified workers. VET stands for education and training which aims to equip people with knowledge, know-how, skills and/or competences required in particular occupations or more broadly on the labor market. This work discusses the outcomes of the AIRVET project, an European partnership whose principal objective is the development and promotion of “curricula and VET courses” in the Maintenance and Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) domains, required for a highly skilled aeronautical workforce

    La coordinació sociosanitària en el Servei de Salut: una realitat necessària

    Get PDF
    La coordinació sociosanitària requereix que les administracions, els gestors i els professionals de l’àmbit social i sanitari s’hi impliquin; que siguin definits d’una manera clara els circuits d’accés als recursos i que es reflexioni profundament sobre la sostenibilitat dels serveis. És indispensable analitzar les alternatives de coordinació en tots els àmbits del Servei de Salut: des de la porta d’entrada al sistema fins a l’àmbit de l’atenció primària en els hospitals i centres sociosanitaris, sense oblidar que és necessari que l’àmbit de la salut i el dels serveis socials estiguin coordinats amb propostes innovadores i factibles per garantir la continuïtat assistencial tant als pacients com a les famílies. L’aposta per la formació del cuidadors informals permet captar persones dependents i cures a domicili millors, amb la reducció dels costos i la millora de l’eficiència consegüents. Definir estratègies des d’una planificació adient és la clau per mesurar els resultats en salut de les persones fràgils, vulnerables i dependents.La coordinación sociosanitaria requiere la implicación de las administraciones y de los gestores, de los profesionales del ámbito social y sanitario, una definición clara de los circuitos de acceso a los recursos y una profunda reflexión sobre la sostenibilidad de los servicios. This article addresses the issue of bulk electrode design and the factors limiting the performance of thick electrodes. Indeed, one of the challenges for achieving improved performance in electrochemical energy storage devices (batteries or supercapacitors) is the maximization of the ratio between active and non-active components while maintaining ionic and electronic conductivity of the assembly. In this study, we developed and compared supercapacitor thick electrodes using commercially available carbons and utilising conventional, easily scalable methods such as spray coating and freeze-casting. We also compared different binders and conductive carbons to develop thick electrodes and analysed factors that determine the performance of such thick electrodes, such as porosity and tortuosity. The spray-coated electrodes showed high areal capacitances of 1428 mF cm at 0.3 mm thickness and 2459 F cm at 0.6 mm thickness

    En este artículo analizamos el comportamiento de los clientes de prostitución o “puteros” durante los meses de confinamiento derivados de la pandemia global que estamos padeciendo. Pese al riesgo para la vida y la salud, en estos meses la demanda de sexo comercial en España no ha cesado, tal y como se desprende de los testimonios de las mujeres en prostitución y de los contenidos de los chats de puteros. Este hecho contradictorio demuestra la fortaleza actual del mandato de masculinidad patriarcal en España – primer país europeo en consumo de prostitución – y la hegemonía de un modelo de masculinidad fallido en su humanidad, incompatible con el momento de vulnerabilidade total que estamos sufriendo como sociedadIn this article we analyze the behavior of prostitution clients, or “whorers”, during the months of confinement derived from the global pandemic that we are experiencing. Despite the risk to life and health, the demand for commercial sex in Spain has not ceased in recent months, as can be seen from the testimonies of women in prostitution and the contents of the chat rooms of prostitution clients. This contradictory fact demonstrates the current strength of the patriarchal masculinity mandate in Spain – the first European country in the consumption of prostitution – and the hegemony of a failed model of masculinity in its humanity, incompatible with the moment of total vulnerability that we are suffering as a societyNeste artigo analisamos o comportamento dos clientes de prostituição ou “puteros” durante os meses de confinamento da pandemia global que estamos a viver. Adaptation of Urban High-density Neighbourhoods in Nodes of Sustainable Intelligent Mobility Condensers

    Get PDF
    In Europe and since the early twentieth century, municipal mobility policies have provided underground parking and public transport to many of the rapidly built social neighbourhoods between 1960 and 1980, which were planned lacking them. However, the climatic emergency requires new approaches that reduce CO2 emissions. This paper sets out the steps for the implementation of an Intelligent Mobility Condenser (IMC) in an existing neighbourhood. IMCs combine connectivity to public transport, together with the creation of a transport cooperative that meets the mobility needs of its neighbours without the need to own a private car. Similar to car-sharing, the IMC offers hybrid, electric, solar cars, along with motorcycles and electric bicycles. This together with a digital platform that facilitates the management of their needs. On the other hand, IMCs are automatic surface parkings, with solar collection and urban gardens, which, being high-access nodes in the neighbourhood, allow the incorporation of community, social and commercial spaces. The paper discusses the results based on the economic and environmental benefits of the model, and the threats of its implementation due to the difficulties of giving up the private car.Universidad de Málaga. Intraspecific variability of growth and ochratoxin A production by Aspergillus carbonarius from different foods and geographical areas

    Get PDF
    Ochratoxin A (OTA) is a nephrotoxic mycotoxin naturally found in a wide range of food commodities throughout the world. Aspergillus carbonarius is the most important source of OTA in food commodities such as wine, grapes and dried vine fruits and is also responsible for the formation of OTA in coffee. The aim of this study was to determine the simultaneous effect of three culture media (Czapek Yeast Extract Broth (CYB); Synthetic Grape Juice Medium (SGM) and White grape juice (WGJ)) at three water activity (aw) levels (0.90; 0.95 and 0.98-0.99), and three incubation temperatures (15ºC, 25ºC and 35ºC) on the growth and OTA production by 16 strains of A. carbonarius. The strains were selected on the basis of the geographical origin of the substrate and included strains from different climatic zones of Spain as well as from other countries with different climatology. All the strains were confirmed for identity by sequencing of the calmodulin gene. The assay was performed in microtiter plates, determining the absorbance at 530 nm and the concentration of OTA after 1, 2, 4 and 10 days of incubation. No significant differences were observed in absorbance values between the strains. The highest absorbance values were recorded in CYB at 0.99 aw and at 0.95 aw after 10 days of incubation at 25ºC and 35ºC. None of the strains were able to grow at 0.90 aw and 15ºC in any culture media after 10 days of incubation. OTA concentration was statistically higher at 15ºC than at 25ºC or 35ºC. The highest significant OTA values were obtained at 0.98-0.99 aw and the best culture media for OTA production was CYB, followed by WGJ and SGM. While strains isolated from Mediterranean climate foods had a similar behavior despite being isolated from different geographical areas, OTA concentration produced by one Robusta coffee strain from Thailand was statistically higher at 25ºC than at 15ºC. This would suggest that the type of food matrices and consequently the adaptation of A. carbonarius strains to different climatic conditions would have a greater influence on the ecophysiology of the strains than only their geographical origin
