Sputtering and PECVD techniques were employed for producing films with thermoelectric characteristics similar to those of massive materials. The focus of research and development at Fraunhofer PM was on the preparation and investigation of sputtered PbTe and SiGe deposited by PECVD.Ziel des Projektes war es mit Sputter- bzw. PECVD-Verfahren Schichten herstellen zu koennen, deren thermoelektrische Werte konkurrenzfaehig sind mit denen der entsprechenden Massivmaterialien. In the framework of preliminary investigations various technologies were examined for the possibilities of application, performance and system compatibility in the field of fibre-chip-coupling. New UV-adhesives, which were developed and modified within the project, were examined and analysed. Laser-micro-welding techniques were designed and examined to realize fiber-arrays and array-couplings. The possibilities of coupling different materials by anodic bonding were examined. A releasable coupling technique by use of memory shape alloy-devices was investigated. Various techniques using laser-milling to fabricate guiding and alignments structures in Lithiumniobat were investigated. The results of various structures were analysed.
