The chapter deals with the subject of temporary architecture, which can be actually completed by means of various technologies, either sustainable or invasive, but eventually both with a short period of impact. The chance of designing temporary architecture with the tensile structures is investigated, mainly from the sustainable and bioclimatic point of view. A number of cultural background are analyzed so as to perceive the amount of interest that this subject again arises within the scientific community, then the mechanical and technological aspects of such systems are outlined. The characteristics of lightness and transparency, that the membranes - which usually define the envelope of the tensile structures - own, can be considered more as a filter than as barriers between the outdoor flows from outside and vice versa. Temporary spaces that are configurated by such systems as well as the aforesaid membranes are analyzed and their immense shape declination is outlined. Finally some illustrious examples of the history are shown, so as to demonstrate the level of bioregionalism that such systems, under certain peculiar circumstances, could eventually achieve

The sustainable development and the bioregionalism find their meeting point in the strategies of urban regeneration adoptable in the Campania Region. In the article, following a brief consideration about possible scenarios of short chain to be triggered between the agricultural and the building sector, three samples of experimental actions are described, which are under development in three areas, in S. Arsenio in the Diano valley, in S. Antonio Abate and in Naples. All the here presented cases are object of a collaboration between the University (Research and education institution), the local authorities and the Small and Medium Enterprises of the bioregions, which has led to application of those principles within design proposals of sustainable and bioregionalist urban regeneration. Biotic and abiotic world interacting with the city life is the subject of the text, which sets up from an introduction regarding the role of gardens in the city and in the citizens’ life. It clarifies dynamic natural phenomena interfering with cultural built environment. Biotic ecosystems and abiotic components (water, air, soil, etc.) in the city are analyzed and interpreted as complex habitat condition. Various concepts are proposed aimed at enhancing the new frontiers of the environmental consciousness among people and actors, while modification in the cultural character of a city are taking place. Examples of integration of Green Infrastructures as important biotic element for the increase of Natural capital in the city are identified and critically investigated. Last but not least the role design plays on land, mainly architecture, as science which collaborates to the definition of built areas in an urban milieu in which, indeed, plants, animals and men interact, is underlined, as far as some technical aspects are concerned. For example the employment of natural-based materials, both within the pre-industrial and traditional architecture, and the industrial innovation products, which can aid to put again together nature and humans
