Ohne Energie geht nichts

Das vorliegende Buch stellt die wesentlichen Energietechniken vor, die derzeit bekannt sind. Darunter sind alle Techniken zu verstehen, die sich mit der Nutzung der fossilen Energietraeger (Kohle, Erdoel und Erdgas), der regenerativen Energiequellen (Sonne, Wind, Wasser und Biomasse), der Kernenergie (Spaltung und Fusion) und der Erdwaerme befassen. Hierzu gehoeren auch die Speicherung und der Transport der verschiedenen Energieformen, sowie spezielle Umwandlungsprozesse (z.B. Brennstoffzellen, magnetohydrodynamische Wandler und Radionuklidbatterien). Ein besonderes Kapitel ist der Niedertemperaturwaerme gewidmet. (Abwaerme, Fernwaerme, Waermepumpen, Clausius-Rankine-Prozess, unkonventionelle Waermekraftmaschinen.) Abschliessend werden die Prinzipien der wichtigsten Waermekraftmaschinen und -Anlage erlaeutert (Waermekraftprozesse, Heissgasmaschinen, Verbrennungsmaschinen, Dampfmaschinenanlagen, Kraftwerke, Fahrzeugmotoren, Generatoren und Energiedirektuebertragung, sowie Pumpen und Verdichter). They comprise all techniques harnessing fossil energy sources (coal, petroleum and natural gas), renewable energy sources (solar power, wind power, hydroelectric power and biomass), nuclear power (fission and fusion), and ground source heat. The topic includes also the storage and transmission of the different forms of energy, as well as special conversion processes (e.g., fuel cells, magnetohydrodynamic transducers, and radionuclide batteries).- A special chapter is dedicated to low temperature heat (waste heat, district heat, heat pumps, Clausius-Rankine process, non-conventional thermodynamic engines). Finally, the principles of the most important thermodynamic engines and apparatus are explained (thermodynamic power cycles, hot-gas engines, internal combustion engines, steam engines, power plants, automotive engines, generators and direct energy transmission, as well as pumps and compressors). Transport of nonintrinsic impurities injected by laser blow-off method

The transport of nonintrinsic impurities injected by laser blow-off method is theoretically described by solving the two-dimensional (radial and toroidal) time dependent equations of diffusion in the edge plasmas of a tokamak. Explicit expressions and evaluation procedures are given for the calculation of the density profile, temperature profile and the diffusion coefficients for the atoms injected and for the ions formed from the injected atoms from the two-dimensional intensity distribution of line radiation of two sorts of atom and ions formed from the atoms measured by a (matrix) CCD camera time resolved.
