D0D0bar Quantum Correlations, Mixing, and Strong Phases
Due to the presence of the quantum correlation between the pair-produced D0
and D0bar from the decay of the psi(3770), the time-integrated single and
double tag decay rates depend on charm mixing amplitudes,
doubly-Cabibbo-suppressed amplitudes, and the relative strong phase, delta,
between D0 and D0bar decays to identical final states. Using 281 pb^-1 of
integrated luminosity collected with the CLEO-c detector on the psi(3770)
resonance, we measure the absolute branching fractions of D0 decays to K-pi+,
CP eigenstates, and semileptonic final states to determine cos(delta) for K-pi+
and to limit the mixing amplitude y.Comment: 3 pages, to appear in the Proceedings of PANIC'05 (Particles and

Reconstructed Jets at RHIC
To precisely measure jets over a large background such as pile up in high
luminosity p+p collisions at LHC, a new generation of jet reconstruction
algorithms is developed. These algorithms are also applicable to reconstruct
jets in the heavy ion environment where large event multiplicities are
produced. Energy loss in the medium created in heavy ion collisions are already
observed indirectly via inclusive hadron distributions and di-hadron
correlations. Jets can be used to study this energy loss in detail with reduced
biases. We review the latest results on jet-medium interactions as seen in A+A
collisions at RHIC, focusing on the recent progress on jet reconstruction in
heavy ion collisions.Comment: Proceedings for the 26th Winter Workshop on Nuclear Dynamic
The Antares Neutrino Telescope and Multi-Messenger Astronomy
Antares is currently the largest neutrino telescope operating in the Northern
Hemisphere, aiming at the detection of high-energy neutrinos from astrophysical
sources. Such observations would provide important clues about the processes at
work in those sources, and possibly help solve the puzzle of ultra-high energy
cosmic rays. In this context, Antares is developing several programs to improve
its capabilities of revealing possible spatial and/or temporal correlations of
neutrinos with other cosmic messengers: photons, cosmic rays and gravitational
waves. The neutrino telescope and its most recent results are presented,
together with these multi-messenger programs.Comment: 10 pages, 7 figures. Proceedings of the 14th Gravitational Wave Data

Phonon-assisted tunneling in interacting suspended single wall carbon nanotubes
Transport in suspended metallic single wall carbon nanotubes in the presence
of strong electron-electron interaction is investigated. We consider a tube of
finite length and discuss the effects of the coupling of the electrons to the
deformation potential associated to the acoustic stretching and breathing
modes. Treating the interacting electrons within the framework of the Luttinger
liquid model, the low-energy spectrum of the coupled electron-phonon system is
evaluated. The discreteness of the spectrum is reflected in the differential
conductance which, as a function of the applied bias voltage, exhibits three
distinct families of peaks. The height of the phonon-assisted peaks is very
sensitive to the parameters. The phonon peaks are best observed when the system
is close to the Wentzel-Bardeen singularity.Comment: 14 pages, 3 figure
