Mid-winter waterfowl counts from 1977, 1979 and 1980 are detailed here. The localities where the censuses took place were choosen mainly on acount of the wildfowl requirements. One locality is ouststanding, the Ebro Delta, and in second place the marshes of the Roses Bay. The minimum total of winter waterfowl in Catalonia if the coastal gulls are also included is between 150.000-170.000 birds. From the point of view of interesting species the following are noteworthy: Burhinus oedionemus, Egretta alba and Oxyura leucocephala. Of the last species this is the second record for Catalonia

The Lepidoptera of Camprodon (Pyrenees) in 1875. The contribution os Estanislau Vayreda. This paper recovers an 1875-78 lepidoptera East Pyrenees catalogue. The municipalities involved are: Camprodon, Setcases, Villalonga de Ter, Llanars, Sant Pau de Seguries and Molló. The systematic list was included in the _Historia de Camprodon from J. Morer & D.F. de A. Galí published in Barcelona in 1879. The butterflies, burnets and moths catalogue assembles 53 species. The contribution of the reputated botanist and ornithologist Estanislau Vayreda (1848-1901) is pointed out. In spite of his unknown lepidopterological activity, his contribution with 32 species was the most significant. Also contributed Miquel Cuní i Martorell (1827-1902) with 6 species. The author Josep Morer (1848-1880) collected 20 species, some of them overlapped with the Vayreda's ones. The families included are 12: Papilionidae, Pieridae, Lycaenidae, Nymphalidae, Hesperiidae, Sesiidae, Zygaenidae, Arctiidae, Saturnidae, Crambidae, Sphingidae and Geometridae

Data on distribution and phenology of 16 species of submerged macrophytes in the Ebro Delta are given, together with a summarized table of some physical and chemical parameters of the waters where they were found. The distribution of the spermatophytes in relation to the salinity of the water is: freshwater (Nasturtium officinale and Myriophyllum verticillatum), β-oligohaline waters, up to 1 g Cl- l-1 (Ceratophyllum demersum, M. spicatum, Utricularia vulgaris, Potamogeton nodosus, P. pusillus, P. crispus, Zannichellia palustris and Najas minor). Oligo-β-mesohaline waters, up to 4 g Cl- l-1, (Najas marina). Mixohaline waters, 0,5-17 g Cl- l-1 (Potamogeton pectinatus, Ruppia maritima and Ruppia Cirrhosa). α-meso-polyhaline waters, 5-17 g - l-1 (Zostera noltii and Z. Marina). The submerged spermatophytes that are dominant in the coastal lagoons in the freshwater period (April-December) are: P. pectinatus, R. Cirrhosa and N. Marina. It seems that in α-oligohaline waters these enter into competition with each other. Field observations suggest that Najas dominate in clay and organic mud areas, P. pectinatus in silty-clay sediments and Ruppia in those of sandy composition
