Sa dami ng taon bílang isang manunulat na maraming parangal, nananatiling aktibo sa larangan ng panitikan ang awtor na si Francisco Sionil Jose, 93, sa pagpapatuloy sa paggabay sa mga batang manunulat, sa politikal na larangan, at sa panitikan. Kilalá sa kaniyang mga politikal na mga sanaysay at nobela, pinanghahawakan pa din niya ang Politika, na patuloy niyang inuugnay sa panitikan. Years of being a decorated writer, Francisco Sionil Jose, 93, remains active in the literary field, continuing to inspire and mentor young aspiring writers, both in the literary and political sphere. Known for his political essays and novels, Jose continues to hold politics dear, constantly integrating it with his literature. This paper interview serves to give an overview of the old writer, from his experiences during the Japanese Occupation, and Martial Law, to the current times. It explores his views on the current Duterte administration, on the U.S. military bases in the Philippines and the nationhood of the country. The interview also highlights his views on Revolution, in which he holds an essentially Marxist view, and explores the shifts in his views on Communism, Capitalism and Nationhood. Overall, it maps the essentials of his political views at the present, all transcribed and synthesized in this paper

Si Demeterio at ang pilosopiyang Pilipino: Pakikipanayam tungkol sa kanyang Ika-25 na taong pamimilosopiya

F.P.A. Demeterio III is one of the leading contributors in the field of Filipino philosophy. He is the author of four books and over 60 articles published in local and international journals. His vast contributions in the said area form a certain pattern of discourse in Filipino philosophy. His first philosophical article was published in 1991, therefore he reached his 25th year of philosophizing last 2016. The authors of this paper returned to his writings and publications in order to design this interview according to Demeterio\u27s classification of Filipino philosophy in 2013. Hence, the research team were able to identify his four major discourses in Filipino philosophy: 1) critical Filipino philosophy, 2) Filipino philosophy as the appropriation of foreign theories, 3) philosophizing using the Filipino language, and 4) exposition of foreign theories. In order to determine the pattern, extent, and depth of his Filipino philosophy in the past 25 years, the authors conducted the interview according to his four salient discourses in Filipino philosophy. This project aims to introduce Demeterio as a significant Filipino philosopher to scholars, students, and those who are interested in the area of Filipino philosophy. © 2018 Mary Irene Clare O.
