Description Method of Outdoor Climate Characteristics Considering the Comprehensive Effect on Indoor Climate

    Get PDF
What human and buildings perceived the environmental information is comprehensive information. However, existing indoor environment design methods are often simplified to single parameters for indoor and outdoor environmental prediction and indoor environment design. In order to describe the indoor climate characteristics of the comprehensive impact of outdoor climate, this study uses the ensemble empirical mode decomposition (EEMD) method to establish a multi-parameter integrated outdoor comprehensive environmental information description method based on the information-response theory. The outdoor climate feature description method is applied to the analysis of the amplitude and frequency characteristics of outdoor comprehensive information, which provides a research basis for further exploring the indoor and outdoor environmental response under the multi-parameters interaction

Consumer Perception of Visual Innovation in China Time-Honored Brands: A Conceptual Paper

    Get PDF
China time-honored brands have been favored by consumers because of their unique cultural attributes. In the era of modern commerce, China has numerous time-honored brands. Yet, very few of them remain evergreen and thrive consistently over time. Therefore, it is very important to explore the innovative ways of China time-honored brands. After reviewed the research of China time-honored brands and existing literature on consumers' perception of brand visual innovation, this work obtained the function diagram of the visual innovation of brands perceived by consumers. This perception pertains to consumers' recognition of the visual imagery, craftsmanship, innovative services, and creativity of these brands, as well as the perception of whether there will be ongoing innovative activities and potential for innovation in the future. On this basis, combined with the characteristics of China time-honored brands, the theoretical model proposed in this paper can further develop the measurement of consumer perception of the visual innovation of China time-honored brands in the future, and carry out empirical research to provide theoretical support for the revitalization of China time-honored brands

Research on the influence of abrupt climate changes on the analysis of typical meteorological year in China

The conventional, typical meteorological year (TMY) based on continuous-year original meteorological records without considering abrupt climate changes (ACC) may not be able to represent a real ā€œtypicalā€ climate properly. Consequently, building performance analyses and simulations based on TMY may be not accurate. Current research rarely tackles this issue in TMY development. This paper presents an innovative TMY development with the consideration of ACC in the original meteorological records. It is based on the Chinese standard weather database method (CSWD) with the meteorological records of six Chinese cities in different climate zones. It applies the Moving t-test method to identify and exclude ACC points and to refine the timescales for TMY development. It also depicts the development of individual typical meteorological months again with the ACC impact to improve the accuracy of TMY. The method has been verified in several building energy consumption and thermal comfort analyses. The results demonstrate that the analysis based on the new TMY climate datasets when considering ACC will end up with less energy consumption and better thermal performance compared to the analyses based on the conversion dataset without considering ACC. This experimental research will refine TMY development, and further improve building energy performance analysis and design

BackgroundOsteoarthritis (OA) is a common chronic joint disease, but the association between molecular and cellular events and the pathogenic process of OA remains unclear.ObjectiveThe study aimed to identify key molecular and cellular events in the processes of immune infiltration of the synovium in OA and to provide potential diagnostic and therapeutic targets.MethodsTo identify the common differential expression genes and function analysis in OA, we compared the expression between normal and OA samples and analyzed the proteinā€“protein interaction (PPI). Additionally, immune infiltration analysis was used to explore the differences in common immune cell types, and Gene Set Variation Analysis (GSVA) analysis was applied to analyze the status of pathways between OA and normal groups. Furthermore, the optimal diagnostic biomarkers for OA were identified by least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) models. Finally, the key role of biomarkers in OA synovitis microenvironment was discussed through single cell and Scissor analysis.ResultsA total of 172 DEGs (differentially expressed genes) associated with osteoarticular synovitis were identified, and these genes mainly enriched eight functional categories. In addition, immune infiltration analysis found that four immune cell types, including Macrophage, B cell memory, B cell, and Mast cell were significantly correlated with OA, and LASSO analysis showed that Macrophage were the best diagnostic biomarkers of immune infiltration in OA. Furthermore, using scRNA-seq dataset, we also analyzed the cell communication patterns of Macrophage in the OA synovial inflammatory microenvironment and found that CCL, MIF, and TNF signaling pathways were the mainly cellular communication pathways. Finally, Scissor analysis identified a population of M2-like Macrophages with high expression of CD163 and LYVE1, which has strong anti-inflammatory ability and showed that the TNF gene may play an important role in the synovial microenvironment of OA.ConclusionOverall, Macrophage is the best diagnostic marker of immune infiltration in osteoarticular synovitis, and it can communicate with other cells mainly through CCL, TNF, and MIF signaling pathways in microenvironment. In addition, TNF gene may play an important role in the development of synovitis

A multi-wavelength mid-IR laser consisting of 3.05Ā Ī¼m, 4.25Ā Ī¼m, and 5.47Ā Ī¼m BaGa4Se7(BGSe)optical parametric oscillators (OPOs) switched by DKDP electro-optic switches with one 10Ā Hz/7.6Ā ns pumping wave is demonstrated. Maximum energies at 3.05Ā Ī¼m, 4.25Ā Ī¼m, and 5.47Ā Ī¼m are 1.35Ā mJ, 1.03Ā mJ, and 0.56Ā mJ, respectively, corresponding to optical-to-optical conversion efficiencies of 9.4%, 7.6%, and 4.2%. To the best of our knowledge, this study is the first of generation of three mid-IR wavelength lasers using electro-optic switches. Furthermore, this study provides a viable solution for a high-energy or high-power, compact, or even portable multi-wavelength mid-IR laser device that employs a single pumping wave

Digital Life Project: Autonomous 3D Characters with Social Intelligence

In this work, we present Digital Life Project, a framework utilizing language as the universal medium to build autonomous 3D characters, who are capable of engaging in social interactions and expressing with articulated body motions, thereby simulating life in a digital environment. Our framework comprises two primary components: 1) SocioMind: a meticulously crafted digital brain that models personalities with systematic few-shot exemplars, incorporates a reflection process based on psychology principles, and emulates autonomy by initiating dialogue topics; 2) MoMat-MoGen: a text-driven motion synthesis paradigm for controlling the character's digital body. It integrates motion matching, a proven industry technique to ensure motion quality, with cutting-edge advancements in motion generation for diversity. Extensive experiments demonstrate that each module achieves state-of-the-art performance in its respective domain. Collectively, they enable virtual characters to initiate and sustain dialogues autonomously, while evolving their socio-psychological states. Concurrently, these characters can perform contextually relevant bodily movements. Additionally, a motion captioning module further allows the virtual character to recognize and appropriately respond to human players' actions.
