    A Method for Assessing the Retention of Trace Elements in Human Body Using Neural Network Technology

    © 2017 Yulia Tunakova et al. Models that describe the trace element status formation in the human organism are essential for a correction of micromineral (trace elements) deficiency. A direct trace element retention assessment in the body is difficult due to the many internal mechanisms. The trace element retention is determined by the amount and the ratio of incoming and excreted substance. So, the concentration of trace elements in drinking water characterizes the intake, whereas the element concentration in urine characterizes the excretion. This system can be interpreted as three interrelated elements that are in equilibrium. Since many relationships in the system are not known, the use of standard mathematical models is difficult. The artificial neural network use is suitable for constructing a model in the best way because it can take into account all dependencies in the system implicitly and process inaccurate and incomplete data. We created several neural network models to describe the retentions of trace elements in the human body. On the model basis, we can calculate the microelement levels in the body, knowing the trace element levels in drinking water and urine. These results can be used in health care to provide the population with safe drinking water

    Connection between dynamics and thermodynamics of liquids on the melting line

    The dynamics of a large number of liquids and polymers exhibit scaling properties characteristic of a simple repulsive inverse power law (IPL) potential, most notably the superpositioning of relaxation data as a function of the variable TV{\gamma}, where T is temperature, V the specific volume, and {\gamma} a material constant. A related scaling law, TmVm{\Gamma}, with the same exponent {\Gamma}={\gamma}, links the melting temperature Tm and volume Vm of the model IPL liquid; liquid dynamics is then invariant at the melting point. Motivated by a similar invariance of dynamics experimentally observed at transitions of liquid crystals, we determine dynamic and melting point scaling exponents {\gamma} and {\Gamma} for a large number of non-associating liquids. Rigid, spherical molecules containing no polar bonds have {\Gamma}={\gamma}; consequently, the reduced relaxation time, viscosity and diffusion coefficient are each constant along the melting line. For other liquids {\gamma}>{\Gamma} always; i.e., the dynamics is more sensitive to volume than is the melting point, and for these liquids the dynamics at the melting point slows down with increasing Tm (that is, increasing pressure).Comment: 20 pages, 8 figures, 1 tabl

The clinicopathologic characteristics and immunohistochemical features of 185 patients with cervical pathologies associated with human papillomavirus infection were examined. Immunohistochemical features analyzed included histone deacetylases (HDAC1, HDAC2) and DNA methyltransferases (DNMT1, DNMT2). Strong correlations of these factors with cervical pathologies including malignancies were identified

    The paper analyzes the civil law institution for indemnity in M & A deals, as well as provides an in-depth view on the legal nature of this mechanism in the context of theory and practice of the civil law. The author highlights some legal problems and gaps in the law and suggests solutions to the mentioned problems as well as necessary amendment proposals to the legislation of the Russian Federation. The study on indemnity issues is based on recent amendments in the civil legislation of the Russian Federation, in particular, amendments in the Civil Code of the Russian Federation. The author also takes into account changes in the judicial practice regarding indemnity issues. The analysis is performed in a comparative-legal framework: it investigates into the Great Britain common law.
