COMPLETE FEED MIXES QUALITY FOR TROUT BREEDING IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA
Tijekom 2000. godine, sluÄajnim uzorkovanjem potpunih krmnih smjesa za pastrve u ribogojiliÅ”tima na podruÄju Bosne i Hercegovine prikupljen je i na kemijsku analizu dostavljen 31 uzorak i to: 16 uzoraka za mlaÄ i 15 uzoraka za rast i tov. Od ukupnog broja, 29 uzoraka vodilo je podrijetlo od inozemnih proizvoÄaÄa. Kontrola deklariranog sastava izvrÅ”ena je kemijskom analizom u laboratoriju Katedre za hranu i ishranu životinja Veterinarskog fakulteta Univerziteta u Sarajevu. UtvrÄeno je da su krmne smjese za mlaÄ prosjeÄno sadržavale: vlage 6,14%, bjelanÄevina 50,46%, masno_e 16,92%, vlaknine 1,18%, i pepela 8,87%. Krmne smjese za rast i tov pastrve prosjeÄno su sadržavale: vlage 6,97%, bjelanÄevina 43,86%, masnoÄe 15,82%, vlaknine 2,25%, i pepela 7,43%. ProsjeÄan sadržaj mineralnih elemenata u svim uzorcima iznosio je: kalcija 1,56%, fosfora 1,29%, magnezija 0,17%, natrija 0,51%, kalija 1,00%, željeza 247,45 mg/kg, mangana 53,79 mg/kg, bakra 10,39 mg/kg i cinka 147,17 mg/kg. Rezultati pokazuju da je sadržaj bjelanÄevina u 37,5% uzoraka za mlaÄ i 40% uzoraka za rast i tov, a sadržaj masnoÄe u 81,2% uzoraka za mlaÄ i 38,5% uzoraka za rast i tov bio niži od deklariranih vrijednosti. Sadržaj vlaknine je u 81,2% uzoraka za mlaÄ i 53,3% uzoraka za rast i tov, a pepela u 37,5% uzoraka za mlaÄ i 20% uzoraka za rast i tov bio veÄi u odnosu na deklarirane vrijednosti. U odnosu na preporuke (NRC, 1993), u analiziranim uzorcima naÄeno je prosjeÄno viÅ”e kalcija za 56%, fosfora 115%, kalija 43% i Äak 240% viÅ”e magnezija. ProsjeÄne vrijednosti mikroelemenata pokazuju da je bakra bilo oko 3,5 puta, željeza i mangana oko 4 puta, a cinka gotovo 5 puta viÅ”e od preporuÄenog sadržaja u hrani za pastrve. Obzirom da važeÄim Pravilnikom o kvalitetu stoÄne hrane u BiH nisu regulirani minimalni uvjeti kakvoÄe hrane za ribe i tolerantna odstupanja u deklariranom sastavu, ova i druga naÅ”a ispitivanja, te Äesti nesporazumi izmeÄu inozemnih proizvoÄaÄa i potroÅ”aÄa hrane vezani za kakvoÄu, nameÄu potrebu brzog rjeÅ”avanja ove problematike permanentno prisutne u naÅ”im ribogojiliÅ”tima, te izmjenu i dopunu propisa o kakvoÄi stoÄne hrane
VARIABILITY OF LEAD CONTENT IN FEEDSTUFFS AND MIXED FEEDS FOR POULTRY
Cilj rada je bio ispitati sadržaj olova (Pb) u komponentama industrijske stoÄne hrane i krmnim smjesama za perad koriÅ”tenim u Bosni i Hercegovini, te dobivene rezultate usporediti s važeÄim propisima o kakvoÄi stoÄne hrane (RBiH 2/92) i regulativom Europske Unije (EC/29/1999). Tijekom 2003-2004. godine pratili smo kretanje sadržaja olova u fitogenim, animalnim i mineralnim komponentama te kompletnim krmnim smjesama za hranidbu peradi. Za kemijsku analizu ukupno su prikupljena 123 uzorka i to: 61 uzorak fitogenih, 15 uzoraka animalnih, 20 uzoraka mineralnih krmiva i 27 uzoraka krmnih smjesa koje su proizvedene u TSH i MSH (mjeÅ”aonica stoÄne hrane) na podruÄju Bosne i Hercegovine. Kemijske analize izvrÅ”ene su u laboratoriju Katedre za hranu i ishranu životinja Veterinarskog fakulteta SveuÄiliÅ”ta u Sarajevu. Sadržaj Pb odreÄen je metodom plamene atomske apsorpcijske spektrofotometrije ā AAS prema A.O.A.C.-u. Dobiveni rezultati kemijske analize svedeni su na 88% suhe tvari i statistiÄki obraÄeni. ProsjeÄan sadržaj Pb (mg/kg) u fitogenim krmivima iznosio je: kukuruz 0,469, pÅ”enica 0,569, lucerka 3,152, stoÄno braÅ”no 1,332, sojina saÄma 1,652, suncokretova saÄma 1,808 uz varijacijski raspon od 0,354 do 4,006. U animalnim krmivima prosjeÄan sadržaj olova (mg/kg) iznosio je: u kvascu 3,322 i ribljem braÅ”nu 5,899 uz varijacijsku Å”irinu od 2,113 do 7,036, a u mineralnim krmivima, u stoÄnoj kredi 17,579 i DiCa-P 13,700 uz varijacijski raspon od 12.480 do 20,270. Sadržaj Pb u kompletnim krmnim smjesama za perad prosjeÄno je iznosio 3,315 mg/kg, uz varijacijski raspon od 1,542 do 7,504 mg/kg.The aim of this study was to investigate lead content in components of feed products and mixed feeds for poultry in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and to compare obtained results with current local legislation on livestock feed and European legislation (RB&H 2/92 and EC/29/1999). During the years 2003-2004 lead content in feeds of plant, animal and mineral origin and mixed feeds for poultry were investigated. A total of 123 samples were collected including 61 plant feeds, 15 animal feeds, 20 mineral feeds and 27 samples of mixed feeds for poultry that were produced at feed factories in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Chemical analyses were performed in the laboratory at Department of Animal Nutrition of the Veterinary faculty of the University of Sarajevo. Lead content was determinated by flame atomic absorption spetrophotometry according to the AOAC. The obtained results were calculated to 88% of dry matter and statistically analyzed. Mean values of lead (mg/kg) in plant feeds were: corn grain 0.469, wheat grain 0.569, alfalfa meal 3.152, wheat meal 1.332, soybean meal 1.652 and sunflower meal 1.808 ranging from 0.354 to 4.006. Feeds of animal origin contained lead (mg/kg) as follows: yeast 3.322, fish meal 5.899 ranging from 2.113 to 7.036 and in mineral-feeds, limestone 7.579 and dicalcium phosphate 13.700 ranging from 12.480 to 20.270. NUTRITIONAL AND TECHNOLOGY VIEW ON THE USE OF BLACK CUMIN SEED OIL IN BROILERS
Upotreba ulja uzgojene crnjike nije uobiÄajena u praksi ishrane tovnih piliÄa, ali zbog visokog sadržaja linolne i linolenske kiseline koriÅ”teno je u eksperimentalne svrhe u skladu sa zahtjevima ovog istraživanja.
Cilj rada je bio ispitati utjecaj dodatka ulja uzgojene crnjike na tjelesnu masu, prirast, konverziju hrane i proizvodni broj kod 40 piliÄa provenijence Cobb 500 podijeljenih u dvije skupine (pokusna i kontrolna). Kemijskom analizom u komercijalnim smjesama za tov piliÄa utvrÄeno je u starteru 22,41% sirovog proteina i 12,71 MJ metaboliÄke energije (ME)/kg, u groveru 21,17% sirovog proteina i 12,95 MJ ME/kg i u finiÅ”eru 20,06% sirovog proteina i 13,03 MJ ME/kg. PiliÄi pokusne skupine tretirani su s uljem uzgojene crnjike (0,025
g/piletu/dan) tokom perioda tova. Analizom masnokiselinskog sastava ulja uzgojene crnjike utvrÄeno je 16,8% zasiÄenih i 82,91% nezasiÄenih masnih kiselina. Na kraju tova od 42 dana piliÄi pokusne skupine ostvarili su ukupno bolje proizvodne pokazatelje: veÄu tjelesnu masu i randman trupa, manju konverziju hrane i veÄi proizvodni indeks u odnosu na kontrolnu skupinu ali bez statistiÄki znaÄajnih razlika.Using black cumin seed oil is not common practice in nutrition of broilers, but due to its high content of linoleic and linolenic acid it was
used for experimental purposes in accordance with the requirements of this research. The aim of this study was to examine the effect of addition of black cumin seed oil on body weight, weight gain, feed conversion and production index at forty āCobb 500ā broilers divided into two groups (experimental and control). Chemical analysis of commercial mixtures for fattening broilers was: starter 22.41% crude protein and 12.71 MJ Metabolizable Energy (ME) /kg); grower 21.17% crude protein and 12.95 MJ/kg ME and finisher 20.06% crude protein and 13.03 MJ/kg ME. Broilers from the experimental group were treated with black seed oil (0.025g/chick/day) during the fattening period. The analysis of fatty acids composition of black cumin seed oil showed 16.8% saturated and 82.91% of unsaturated fatty acids.
At the end of fattening period (42nd day), broilers of the experimental group achieved a better overall production results: higher body weight and boddy carcass, lower feed conversion, and higher European Production Index (EPI) than in the control group but there
were no significant differences
EFFECT OF PROBIOTICS ON IMMUNE RESPONSE IN BROILER CHICKS
Cilj istraživanja bio je ispitati utjecaj dodatka komercijalnog (ProbiosĀ®) i pokusnog (kultura Lactobacillus acidophilus izolirana iz acidofilnog mlijeka, inaktivirani pekarski kvasac, vitamin C i laktoza) probiotskog preparata putem vode za piÄe na imunosni odgovor protiv gumborske bolesti kod tovnih piliÄa. Istraživanja su provedena na 105 jednodnevnih piliÄa provenijence Cobb 500 podijeljenih u tri skupine (dvije pokusne i jedna kontrolna skupina). Probiotski tretman obje pokusne skupine piliÄa bio je prva tri dana života i trodnevno pri vakciniranju piliÄa protiv njukaslske i gumborske bolesti te infektivnog brohitisa (dan prije, na dan i dan nakon vakciniranja). Tijekom pokusa piliÄi su vakcinirani prema programu imunoprofilakse koji je naÄinjen u skladu s titrom kongenitalnih protutijela. Kontrolom imunosnog odgovora protiv gumborske bolesti kod piliÄa u dobi od 28 i 42 dana utvrÄene su veÄe, odnosno znaÄajno (p<0,05) veÄe srednje vrijednosti titra protutijela kod piliÄa pokusne P2 odnosno P1 skupine u usporedbi s vrijednostima kontrolne K skupine. Istovremeno, statistiÄka znaÄajnost razlika srednjih vrijednosti titra protutijela izmeÄu pokusnih skupina nije utvrÄena.The aim of the study was to examine the effect of commercial (Probios Ā®) and experimental (the culture of Lactobacillus acidophilus isolated from acidophilus milk, inactivated bakersā yeast, vitamin C and lactose) probiotic preparations through drinking water on the immune response against Gumboro disease in broiler chickens. Research was conducted on 105/day old Cobb 500 chicks divided into three groups (two experimental and one control group). Probiotic treatments of experimental groups of chickens were the first three days of life and three days during the vaccination of chickens against Newcastle disease, Gumboro disease and Infectious bronchitis (the day before, on the day of and the day after vaccination). During the experiment chickens were vaccinated under the program of immunoprophylaxis, made in accordance with congenital antibody titres. By controlling the immune response against Gumboro disease in chickens at the age of 28 and 42 days higher and significantly (p <0.05) higher mean antibody titers were found in experimental P2 and P1 groups compared with control K group, respectively. In the same time, statistically significant differences in mean values of antibody titers between the experimental groups were not determined
