Soft Covariant Gauges on the Lattice

We present an exploratory study of a one-parameter family of covariant, non-perturbative lattice gauge-fixing conditions, that can be implemented through a simple Monte Carlo algorithm. We demonstrate that at the numerical level the procedure is feasible, and as a first application we examine the gauge dependence of the gluon propagator.Comment: 11 pages, Latex, epsf.sty included + 5 PostScript picture

O lugar da carta de Esperança Garcia no Brasil contemporâneo: a agenda do trabalho digno frente à memória escravocrata

O texto abordará as demandas por mudança na narrativa oficial e por igualdade e justiça raciais, com a inclusão da perspectiva de gênero e busca de história de mulheres negras, em decorrência da descoberta de uma carta escrita de próprio punho por Esperança Garcia, em 6 de setembro de 1770. Analisar-se-á como (ou se) o acervo formato em torno da carta de Esperança Garcia dialoga com duas recentes condenações do Brasil pela Corte Interamericana de Direitos Humanos (CIDH), nos casos: Fazenda Brasil Verde (2016); e Empregados da Fábrica de Fogos de Santo Antônio de Jesus e seus Familiares (2020).Ce texte, qui s’inscrit dans la perspective du genre et des recherches sur l’histoire des femmes noires, étudie les demandes de changement du récit officiel et d’égalité et de justice raciales qui ont fait suite à la découverte d’une lettre écrite, le 6 septembre 1770, par Esperança Garcia elle-même. Il s’agit principalement d’analyser comment (ou si) le fonds constitué autour de la lettre d’Esperança Garcia dialogue avec deux condamnations récentes du Brésil par la Cour interaméricaine des droits de l’homme (CIDH) : l’affaire Fazenda Brasil Verde (2016) ; et l’affaire Employés de la fabrique de feux d’artifice de Santo Antônio de Jesus et leurs proches (2020).The text will address the demands for change in the official narrative and for racial equality and justice, with the inclusion of the gender perspective and the search for the history of black women, as the result of the discovery of a letter written in her own hand by Esperança Garcia, on September 6, 1770. It will analyze how (or if) the collection developed around Esperança Garcia’s letter dialogues with two recent convictions of Brazil by the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (IACHR), in the cases: Fazenda Brazil Verde (2016); and Employees of the Firework Factory of Santo Antônio de Jesus and their Relatives (2020)
