    Proposta de uma metodologia de dimensionamento de um Sistema GSM, com análise de caso para uma Região Urbana em Curitiba

No Brasil, esta tecnologia já está em operação em algumas cidades e rapidamente está chegando às outras cidades. O presente trabalho apresentará uma metodologia para o dimensionamento de um sistema GSM. Será feita uma análise de caso para uma região urbana em Curitiba, sob o ponto de vista de análise dos fatores envolvidos no dimensionamento, tais como, análise do terreno e obstruções, escolha da antena, posicionamento de ERBs, definição das classes de serviço, dentre outros. É usada neste trabalho a ferramenta de simulação de sistemas de rádio Celplanner. Serão descritas as características consideradas importantes da tecnologia GSM para a realização do projeto. A descrição de alguns dos modelos de predição mais usados será feita, bem como uma comparação entre eles. Como resultados, serão mostradas as simulações inerentes ao sistema e, finalmente, serão feitas comparações com outras metodologias e apresentadas suas vantagens e desvantagens.Abstract: The technology GSM dominates today more than 70% of the world telephony cellular market. In Brazil, this technology is already in operation in some cities and quickly it is arriving to the others. The present work will approach a methodology for the sizing o f a GSM system. It will be made a case analysis for an urban area in Curitiba, under the point of view of analysis of the factors involved in the sizing, such as, analysis of the land and obstructions, choice of the antenna, positioning of ERBs, service classes configuration, among other. It is used in this work, the radio systems simulation tool "Celplanner". It will be described the characteristics considered important of the GSM technology for the accomplishment of this project. The description of some prediction models more used will be done, as well as a comparison among them. As results, the inherent simulations will be shown to the system and, finally, will be made comparisons with other methodologies and presented its advantages and disadvantages

    Husimi-Wigner representation of chaotic eigenstates

    Just as a coherent state may be considered as a quantum point, its restriction to a factor space of the full Hilbert space can be interpreted as a quantum plane. The overlap of such a factor coherent state with a full pure state is akin to a quantum section. It defines a reduced pure state in the cofactor Hilbert space. The collection of all the Wigner functions corresponding to a full set of parallel quantum sections defines the Husimi-Wigner reresentation. It occupies an intermediate ground between drastic suppression of nonclassical features, characteristic of Husimi functions, and the daunting complexity of higher dimensional Wigner functions. After analysing these features for simpler states, we exploit this new representation as a probe of numerically computed eigenstates of chaotic Hamiltonians. The individual two-dimensional Wigner functions resemble those of semiclassically quantized states, but the regular ring pattern is broken by dislocations.Comment: 21 pages, 7 figures (6 color figures), submitted to Proc.     Orquestra sinfonica universitaria : modelos e alternativa de implementação em Universidades Publicas

Para tanto, procurou-se analisar os ambientes universitários através de seus modelos filosóficos, identificar e localizar os sistemas culturais nas instituições, caracterizar as mudanças nas formações instrumentais até a formatação atual da Orquestra Sinfônica. Através de depoimentos e entrevistas com regentes e diretores de orquestras universitárias avaliou-se os quadros acadêmico e administrativo das orquestras, seus principais objetivos e metas. Esses dados auxiliaram na proposição de um modelo orquestral com relação acadêmica e instrumentalizado por mecanismos de atuação social, como projetos de extensão universitária, captação de recursos e leis de incentivo à cultura, sugerindo assim o aumento na capacidade de atuação da orquestra, ultrapassando os limites da atuação acadêmica-universitáriaAbstract: The present work has as its objective the identification of the elements that make part of the world of University Symphony Orchestras, more specifically detailed recognition of recurring models of such structures in public institutions of higher education. In order to achieve this, an attempt was made to analyse first the intellectual environment of a given University by studying its philosophical posture; then the identification of specific cultural systems within the institution, and finally elose examination of changes in the characteristic formations of instrumental ensembles that led to the establishment of the present Symphony Orchestra at that University. Through interviews and testimonials of conductors of university orchestras it was possible to evaluate the status of their academic and administrative structures and their main objectives and goals as well. This data was helpful in proposing the creation of an orchestral model that would allow for academic expression at the same time offering a mechanism of social service such as community extension projects or government funding through tax-deduction incentives.     Cancer/Testis Antigen MAGE-C1/CT7: New Target for Multiple Myeloma Therapy

    Cancer/Testis Antigens (CTAs) are a promising class of tumor antigens that have a limited expression in somatic tissues (testis, ovary, fetal, and placental cells). Aberrant expression of CTAs in cancer cells may lead to abnormal chromosome segregation and aneuploidy. CTAs are regulated by epigenetic mechanisms (DNA methylation and acetylation of histones) and are attractive targets for immunotherapy in cancer because the gonads are immune privileged organs and anti-CTA immune response can be tumor-specific. Multiple myeloma (MM) is an incurable hematological malignancy, and several CTAs have been detected in many MM cell lines and patients. Among CTAs expressed in MM we must highlight the MAGE-C1/CT7 located on the X chromosome and expressed specificity in the malignant plasma cells. MAGE-C1/CT7 seems to be related to disease progression and functional studies suggests that this CTA might play a role in cell cycle and mainly in survival of malignant plasma cells, protecting myeloma cells against spontaneous as well as drug-induced apoptosis

This paper reports a 3D numerical study on the transport of airborne pathogens inside Boeing 767 cabin. After cough or sneeze of an infected passenger, the entire unsteady pathogen dispersion process is simulated. Effects under study include the direction of coughing on the pathogens propagation and the spreading times from infected to hosts passengers

    Esse estudo tem como objetivo analisar um dia de geração em duas usinas fotovoltaicas: UFV1 e UFV2. Neste trabalho será calculado as perdas de energia do dia 26/05/2020, com condições climáticas normais, sem nuvens. A energia que é gerada pelos painéis solares será comparada com a energia que incide sobre os mesmos, evidenciando as perdas. A partir do cálculo de eficiência de geração, foi possível constatar que alguns painéis possuem quedas de eficiência, que variam de acordo com o horário, ligadas a um problema crônico de posicionamento ou sombreamento intermitente
