Studi Analisis Pendahuluan Metakognisi Mahasiswa Calon Guru Kimia Uncen Dalam Merancang Program Perkuliahan Untuk Meningkatkan Pemahaman Konsep Matakuliah Kimia Fisika Melalui Pendekatan Metakognisi Terpadu
System of a good teaching and effective delivery of science is an absolutely right on target according to the needs of learners. If the increased cognitive, metacognitive then someone will increase as well. However, often a teacher ignores the student metacognition, which resulted in the learning process is not in accordance with what is expected. Based on preliminary research conducted in the course of chemical physics for chemistry pre-service in Cenderawasih University shows, the results of the interview were largely concluded reception chemistry student teachers who are not on track affect motivation to learn. Results of the questionnaire / inventory metacognition distributed to 30 pre-service showed, 80% chemistry pre-service were in the lowest scale score 1-2 range 20% - 40.6% , means have metacognition as pre-service are unable to learn as they should learn . And writing test results showed that 70% of students can not complete the test perfectly and surpass the test of time provided. This shows the inability of the students in the process of thinking in understanding the concept. Results of this study is the fact that occur in the field, and a determination of the issues raised by researchers in advanced research to develop a learning program based chemical physics metacognition integrated approach to improve understanding of the concept.
Model Education Reconstruction (Mer) Bahan Ajar Penelitian Laboratorium (Pl) Konteks Zeolit Berbasis Problem Solving-decision Making (Psdm)
. Aspects discussed in this research is to improve the intelligence thinking of student research through a MER (Duit 2012). Based on a problem that is often found that the appearance of lack of originality of research because students are not able to think of research, which is shown in a preliminary study.Based on these problems, researchers developed teaching materials to reconstruct RL context zeolite based PSDM. The instrument was a questionnaire response experts to determine the feasibility of the cognitive level of the student materials in accordance with the character of the curriculum in 2013. The characteristics of instructional materials: 1) was developed in accordanceaspect PSDM attitude Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), 2) the context ofthe lecture corresponding zeolite mineral chemistry issues, 3) content according to the level of cognitive student accesible criteria, 4) Perspective students to the concept of material through interviews. Interviews showed> 80% of the students have any preconceptions about the meaning of the scientific method and thinking research. Therefore, the insertion of material thought PSDM based research on teaching materials need to be raised. Validation / CVR obtain the Value 0.76, and CVI c(0,76) > CVI t(0,68) showed very appropriate instructional materials used
Nurse Experience in Caring for People with HIVAIDS at Community Health Center: A Phenomenological Study
Background: Nurse is one of the health care team members involved in providing health care service to people living with HIV/ AIDS (PLWHA). The role of a nurse includes to facilitate, direct patient coping, and provide support for PLWHA. The goal of the health service provision is to facilitate PLWHA in their adaptation to the illness and environmental condition. Nurse experience in caring for PLWHA is beneficial to improve the quality of care services for PLWHA. This study aimed to explore the nurse experience in caring for PLWHA at community health center.
Subjects and Method: This was a qualitative study with phenomenology approach. This study was conducted at Halmahera Community Health Center, Semarang, Central Java. A sample of four key informants and three triangulation informants, was selected for this study. The key informants included nurses involved in the health care service provision for PLWHA atcommunity health center. The data were collected by semi-structured interview and analyzed by content analysis method.
Results: This study identified three themes of nurse experience in providing health care services to PLWHA: (1) Knowledge and competence of the nurse; (2) Role of nurse; (3) Nurse difficulty.
Conclusion: The optimal role of nurse at the community health center calls for enhanced knowledge and competence in providing health care service to PLWHA.
Keywords: experience, health care service, people living with HIV/AIDS, role of nurs
Implementing Elements of The Physics Suite at a Large Metropolitan Research University
A key question in physics education is the effectiveness of the teaching
methods. A curriculum that has been investigated at the University of Central
Florida (UCF) over a period of two years is the use of particular elements of
The Physics Suite. Select sections of the introductory physics classes at UCF
have made use of Interactive Lecture Demonstrations as part of the lecture
component of the class. The lab component of the class has implemented the
RealTime Physics curriculum, again in select sections. The remaining sections
have continued with the teaching methods traditionally used. Using pre- and
post-semester concept inventory tests, a student survey, student interviews,
and a standard for successful completion of the course, the data indicates
improved student learning
Competitiveness and sustainability: can ‘smart city regionalism’ square the circle?
Increasingly, the widely established, globalisation-driven agenda of economic competitiveness meets a growing concern with sustainability. Yet, the practical and conceptual co-existence—or fusion—of these two agendas is not always easy. This includes finding and operationalising the ‘right’ scale of governance, an important question for the pursuit of the distinctly transscalar nature of these two policy fields. ‘New regionalism’ has increasingly been discussed as a pragmatic way of tackling the variable spatialities associated with these policy fields and their changing articulation. This paper introduces ‘smart (new) city-regionalism’, derived from the principles of smart growth and new regionalism, as a policy-shaping mechanism and analytical framework. It brings together the rationales, agreed principles and legitimacies of publicly negotiated polity with collaborative, network-based and policy-driven spatiality. The notion of ‘smartness’, as suggested here as central feature, goes beyond the implicit meaning of ‘smart’ as in ‘smart growth’. When introduced in the later 1990s the term embraced a focus on planning and transport. Since then, the adjective ‘smart’ has become used ever more widely, advocating innovativeness, participation, collaboration and co-ordination. The resulting ‘smart city regionalism’ is circumscribed by the interface between the sectorality and territoriality of policy-making processes. Using the examples of Vancouver and Seattle, the paper looks at the effects of the resulting specific local conditions on adopting ‘smartness’ in the scalar positioning of policy-making
