Sikap Indonesia terhadap Sengketa Laut Cina Selatan Pasca Putusan Permanent Court Of Arbitration 12 Juli 2017
The extranasal glioma - a cause of neonatal respiratory distress
Normal brain tissue in an abnonnal configuration, occurring at a site away from the cranial cavity, is temied an Extranasal Glioma. Since its first description in 1852 by Reid2, only 140 patients with this entity have been reported. Heterotopic brain tissue when present in a confined area may cause obstmction, pressure and pain. Its occurrence in the nasopharyngeal region is relatively rare and only 19 cases have been reported so far2, the majority presenting with respiratory distress in the early neonatal period. The objective of this report is to create an awareness amongst the physicians of the presentation and management of this condition
Fondasi Realisme Ibn Sīnā dalam Metafisika Kitāb al-Syifā’
This paper is a translation and commentary on the first chapter of Book V of the Metaphysics of Avicenna’s (d. 1037) major philosophical work, the Shifāʾ. In this particular section of this work and the rest of the chapters of Book V, Avicenna lays out the metaphysical foundations to his realist epistemology. One central doctrine that he develops in the first chapter is the idea that a thing’s essence is distinct from its existence. By existence, Avicenna includes concrete existence in the outside realm and also conceptual existence in the mind (i.e. the way things are said or structured in concepts.) A thing’s essence has a neutral ontological position, neither primarily outside nor primarily conceptual, though it can exist as a concrete thing and/or as a concept. The fact that the mind and the concrete world may share a common object is the basis of Avicennian realist epistemology: this is how our thoughts and impressions about the world actually correspond to the world
High-temperature oxidation of nickel-based alloys and estimation of the adhesion strength of resulting oxide layers
The kinetics of isothermal oxidation (1100°C) of commercial nickel-based alloys with different content of sulfur (0.22–3.2 wt ppm) is studied. The adhesion strength in a metal/oxide system is estimated as a function of sulfur content and duration of high-temperature exposure. The scratch-test technique is proposed to quantitatively estimate the work of adhesion of resulting oxide films. It is found that the film microstructure is composed of an inner α-Al2O3 layer and an outer NiAl2O4 spinel layer, which are separated by discrete inclusions of TiO2. Residual stresses in the oxide film are experimentally determined by X-ray diffraction. spinel layer, which are separated by discrete inclusions of TiO2.
