Susan Feindel : Figura

Catalogue to accompany an exhibition of Feindel’s works from 1984 to 1998. In her descriptive analysis of the artist’s work Halkes considers how the nature/culture dichotomy “figures” within the contexts of art and science. “Nature’s subjectivity” is considered in relation to the objectification of nature, mimetic forms of representation and the concept of landscape.
