Functional methods in the theory of magnetoimpurity states of electrons in quantum wires

Functional methods are used to study magnetoimpurity states of electrons in nanostructures. The Keldysh formalism is applied to these states. The theory is illustrated using a quantum wire sample with impurity atoms capable of localizing electrons in a magnetic field. The characteristics of magnetoimpurity states of electrons in the wire are calculated using the model of a Gaussian separable potential.Comment: 15 pages, 1 figur

The use of landscape approach for the management of nature-use of the territory is substantiated. Structure of creating a geographic information database to identify natural territorial taxa of the rank of landscape region is developed. The main results of medium-sized landscape mapping of the eastern territory of the Russian plain (The Republic of Tatarstan). The analysis of the parameters that are used for landscape zoning is given. In total, for the purposes of landscape zoning more than 40 different parameters have been taken. On the basis of the method of artificial neural network by Kohonen landscape zoning is held. Ability to generalize is a valuable quality of artificial neural networks. Approaches to landscapes typification and their structures have been identified. The area of research that makes up to 68 square kilometers is divided into two landscape zones and four subzones and 31 landscape region. Implementation of mapping was carried out by means of GIS technologies. Well-defined boundaries of landscapes are formed during sharp changes of the natural environment. This type of borders is mainly conditioned by changes in bedrock lithology and geomorphological conditions. Geo information analysis of the prepared in vector format landscape map of the studied territory provides insight into the morphological structure of landscapes of different zones. Among them slope landscapes dominate, followed by valley types of areas and watershed ones occupy the least area

Approaches have been developed to the application of the geomorphometric method for identification of neotectonic structures from maps of datum and summit planes by using the territory of Perm krai as an example. We carried out a comparative analysis of the resulting maps with existing neotectonic maps of local uplifts to reveal their good correlation. We substantiate the possibility of using the suggested approaches in forecasting deposits of sand-gravel raw materials. © 2014 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd

© 2018, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd. Using the method of mapping by high resolution satellite imagery mapping, a study was made of the key areas which are located in the southern part of the forest, forest-steppe and steppe zones of Tatarstan and of Orenburg, Saratov and Voronezh oblasts. Two key indicators were determined: the gully length density and gully head density within the basins; results of the investigation were used in compiling respective maps in vector format. It is established that the density of the gully length in the basins varies over the range from 0 to 0.5 km/km2 (from the absence of gullies to strong gully erosion), and the density of gully heads from 0 to 3 units/km2. The slope type of gullies is dominant in all basins (about 80%), while the coastal and bottom types have approximately the same proportion (14 and 10%, respectively). Using methods of mathematical statistics we determined a high directly proportional dependence of the indicators of the contemporary gully network on the level of ploughness of the basins and the mean annual precipitation amount, and an indirectly proportional dependence on the level of sodding. An abrupt reduction in gullying indicators was determined. It was found that among the chief reasons behind an abrupt reduction in the gullies to date is a decrease of the rate of agricultural development, with an additional factor, namely, a dramatic decrease in surface runoff down the arable slopes during spring snowmelt caused by climate warming. It is concluded that that a significant part of the gully forms in the study area is currently inactive and massively passes into the balka stage

© 2014, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd. Using the Volga (Privolzhskii) Federal District as an example, we offer the solution of such a currently central scientific and methodological problem as automated identification of the boundaries of basin geosystems under different landscape and geomorphological conditions in terms of multiresolution digital elevation models. The main stages of work are described, namely the development of the digital elevation model, its hydrological adjustment, identification of the boundaries of basin geosystems, and validity assessment of results obtained. The technique has been developed for constructing a hydrologically valid digital elevation model with the purpose of identifying the boundaries of basin geosystems

Nonperturbative contributions to the quark form factor at high energy

The analysis of nonperturbative effects in high energy asymptotics of the electomagnetic quark form factor is presented. It is shown that the nonperturbative effects determine the initial value for the perturbative evolution of the quark form factor and find their general structure with respect to the high energy asymptotics. Within the Wilson integral formalism which is natural for investigation of the soft, IR sensitive, part of the factorized form factor, the structure of the instanton induced effects in the evolution equation is discussed. It is demonstrated that the instanton contributions result in the finite renormalization of the subleading perturbative result and numerically are characterized by small factor reflecting the diluteness of the QCD vacuum within the instanton liquid model. The relevance of the IR renormalon induced effects in high energy asymptotic behaviour is discussed. The consequences of the various analytization procedures of the strong coupling constant in the IR domain are considered.Comment: REVTeX, 12 pages, 1 figure. Magnetron sputtering in rigid optical solar reflectors production

    Get PDF
Magnetron sputtering was applied to meet the growing need for glass optical solar reflectors. This plasma method provided more uniform deposition of the silver based coating on glass substrates resulted in decrease of defective reflectors fraction down to 5%. For instance, such parameter of resistive evaporation was of 30%. Silver film adhesion to glass substrate was enhanced with indium tin oxide sublayer. Sunlight absorption coefficient of these rigid reflectors was 0.081-0.083

© 2017, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd. An analysis made of the worldwide existing geoinformation systems (HydroSHEDS, CCM, Ecrins, WBD, etc.) suggests that there are as yet no models of adequate quality for the basin boundaries of small rivers in the European part of Russia. For the territory of the European part of Russia with a total area of more than 4 mln. km2 the GIS technology tools were used to construct the electron vector map of river basins and their interbasin spaces. The map thus obtained displays the basins of first-order rivers for a given level of generalization (sc 1:1 000 000). The GMTED2010 model was used as the digital elevation model. A total of 63 553 basin geosystems were identified on the map, averaging 68 km2 in area. Accuracy verification of identifying the basin boundaries showed a good agreement of areal and geometric characteristics of the method used with expert approach. In test areas, the men difference of the indicators of the area of the basins identified automatically and by use of the expert approach made up 3.6%. For areas with weakly dissected lowland topography this error does not exceed 5% while it is about 2% in areas with relatively dissected elevated topography. The basin geosystems thus identified are operational-territorial units with respect to which the geospatial data base is generated to characterize the natural-resource potential of the European territory of Russia. An example is provided for the generation of the geospatial database containing hydrological information covering 1763 hydrological stations collecting streamflow data

Experimental Simulation of the Radionuclide Behaviour in the Process of Creating Additional Safety Barriers in Solid Radioactive Waste Repositories Containing Irradiated Graphite

Results of the experimental modeling of radionuclide behavior when creating additional safety barriers in solid radioactive waste repositories are presented. The experiments were run on the repository mockup containing solid radioactive waste fragments including irradiated graphite. The repository mockup layout is given; the processes with radionuclides that occur during the barrier creation with a clayey solution and during the following barrier operation are investigated. The results obtained confirm high anti-migration and anti-filtration properties of clay used for the barrier creation even under the long-term excessive water saturation of rocks confining the repository
