This article was motivated by Islam as a worldview that cover all aspects of life including the political. It has been recorded in history how the state managed by Moslem. This was initiated during the prophet Muhammad SAW. There were two phases. The first phase occurred in Mecca before the hijrah, the embryo of an Islamic society had grown and the basic principles of Islamic teachings in general began to be established. Then in the second phase, which took place in Medina after the hijrah, the building of the Islamic community was successfully formed, and the previously general rules were explained in detail. Thus, historically proves that Islam does not explain specifically related to the system of government and the form of the state. This can vary and vary, does not determine one system or form of the state. However, Islam underlines that the formation of a state must be in accordance with the sharia, namely achieving a just, peaceful, prosperous government, and implementing other sharia principles
Structural Material Property Tailoring Using Deep Neural Networks
Advances in robotics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning are
ushering in a new age of automation, as machines match or outperform human
performance. Machine intelligence can enable businesses to improve performance
by reducing errors, improving sensitivity, quality and speed, and in some cases
achieving outcomes that go beyond current resource capabilities. Relevant
applications include new product architecture design, rapid material
characterization, and life-cycle management tied with a digital strategy that
will enable efficient development of products from cradle to grave. In
addition, there are also challenges to overcome that must be addressed through
a major, sustained research effort that is based solidly on both inferential
and computational principles applied to design tailoring of functionally
optimized structures. Current applications of structural materials in the
aerospace industry demand the highest quality control of material
microstructure, especially for advanced rotational turbomachinery in aircraft
engines in order to have the best tailored material property. In this paper,
deep convolutional neural networks were developed to accurately predict
processing-structure-property relations from materials microstructures images,
surpassing current best practices and modeling efforts. The models
automatically learn critical features, without the need for manual
specification and/or subjective and expensive image analysis. Further, in
combination with generative deep learning models, a framework is proposed to
enable rapid material design space exploration and property identification and
optimization. The implementation must take account of real-time decision cycles
and the trade-offs between speed and accuracy
How users assess web pages for information-seeking
In this paper, we investigate the criteria used by online searchers when assessing the relevance of web pages for information-seeking tasks. Twenty four participants were given three tasks each, and indicated the features of web pages which they employed when deciding about the usefulness of the pages in relation to the tasks. These tasks were presented within the context of a simulated work-task situation. We investigated the relative utility of features identified by participants (web page content,structure and quality), and how the importance of these features is affected by the type of information-seeking task performed and the stage of the search. The results of this study provide a set of criteria used by searchers to decide about the utility of web pages for different types of tasks. Such criteria can have implications for the design of systems that use or recommend web pages
PSL Icing Facility Upgrade Overview
The NASA Glenn Research Center Propulsion Systems Lab (PSL) was recently upgraded to perform engine inlet ice crystal testing in an altitude environment. The system installed 10 spray bars in the inlet plenum for ice crystal generation using 222 spray nozzles. As an altitude test chamber, the PSL is capable of simulating icing events at altitude in a groundtest facility. The system was designed to operate at altitudes from 4,000 to 40,000 ft at Mach numbers up to 0.8M and inlet total temperatures from -60 to +15 degF. This paper and presentation will be part of a series of presentations on PSL Icing and will cover the development of the icing capability through design, developmental testing, installation, initial calibration, and validation engine testing. Information will be presented on the design criteria and process, spray bar developmental testing at Cox and Co., system capabilities, and initial calibration and engine validation test. The PSL icing system was designed to provide NASA and the icing community with a facility that could be used for research studies of engine icing by duplicating in-flight events in a controlled ground-test facility. With the system and the altitude chamber we can produce flight conditions and cloud environments to simulate those encountered in flight. The icing system can be controlled to set various cloud uniformities, droplet median volumetric diameter (MVD), and icing water content (IWC) through a wide variety of conditions. The PSL chamber can set altitudes, Mach numbers, and temperatures of interest to the icing community and also has the instrumentation capability of measuring engine performance during icing testing. PSL last year completed the calibration and initial engine validation of the facility utilizing a Honeywell ALF502-R5 engine and has duplicated in-flight roll back conditions experienced during flight testing. This paper will summarize the modifications and buildup of the facility to accomplish these tests
ScotGrid: Providing an Effective Distributed Tier-2 in the LHC Era
ScotGrid is a distributed Tier-2 centre in the UK with sites in Durham,
Edinburgh and Glasgow. ScotGrid has undergone a huge expansion in hardware in
anticipation of the LHC and now provides more than 4MSI2K and 500TB to the LHC
VOs. Scaling up to this level of provision has brought many challenges to the
Tier-2 and we show in this paper how we have adopted new methods of organising
the centres, from fabric management and monitoring to remote management of
sites to management and operational procedures, to meet these challenges. We
describe how we have coped with different operational models at the sites,
where Glagsow and Durham sites are managed "in house" but resources at
Edinburgh are managed as a central university resource. This required the
adoption of a different fabric management model at Edinburgh and a special
engagement with the cluster managers. Challenges arose from the different job
models of local and grid submission that required special attention to resolve.
We show how ScotGrid has successfully provided an infrastructure for ATLAS and
LHCb Monte Carlo production. Special attention has been paid to ensuring that
user analysis functions efficiently, which has required optimisation of local
storage and networking to cope with the demands of user analysis. Finally,
although these Tier-2 resources are pledged to the whole VO, we have
established close links with our local physics user communities as being the
best way to ensure that the Tier-2 functions effectively as a part of the LHC
