    Analyzing the Link Between Work Flexibility, Job Satisfaction and Job Performance Among Romanian Employees

    The labour market has redefined in recent years and has changed the way employers report to employees. Work flexibility is important in the context in which those who work at the desired hours tend to be more motivated and spend a longer period of time without changing their job. The paper aims to analyse the link between the main forms of work flexibility, job satisfaction and job performance using a sample of 220 employees, emphasising the role of work flexibility in the motivation system of employees and evaluating the impact of workspace on job satisfaction and performance. The empirical results revealed that schedule flexibility (a flexible program, teleworking or reducing overtime) tend to significantly influence job satisfaction and performance and from the four new types of working (FO, CW, HOT, HOP) the results revealed that all four ways of working highly impacted the well-being, personal and professional performance and the overall level of motivation

    Does migration influence corruption in Europe?

    Corruption and migration influence the country level of development, so they have been debated and studied for a long time. Has been written a lot about the two phenomena and their relations with many social and economic factors, but the two also influence each other. The higher the level of corruption in a country, the more people will be more likely to migrate and vice versa. This study aims to study the link between the two phenomena considering the countries from Europe, over time, for the period 2008-2016, highlighting the implications in the economy. The variables analyzed are the Corruption Perception Index and the number of emigrants. The methods used are panel regression and cluster analysis and the processing and analysis was performed using the statistical software SAS (version 9.2) and SPSS (version 13 and 25). The findings show that there is a link at European level between the two phenomena, corruption and migration have a similar trend over time, and significant differences are registered between countries

    The Water-Based Synthesis of Platinum Nanoparticles Using KrF Excimer Laser Ablation

    Our work presents, for the first time, a comprehensive study of the synthesis of fully metallic platinum nanoparticles (Pt-NPs) involving the ablation process in double distilled water using a KrF excimer laser. To obtain detailed information on Pt-NP morphology and optical properties, prepared colloids were characterized using High Resolution Scanning Transmission Electron Microscopy (HR-STEM) with advanced capabilities for Energy Dispersive X-ray Analysis (EDX), UV/Vis optical spectroscopy, and Direct Analysis in Real Time—Mass Spectrometry (DART-MS). The influence of the applied laser fluence and laser repetition rate (RR) values on the characteristics of the obtained Pt-NPs and the ablation process, respectively, were also analyzed. Spherical and spherical-like nanoparticles exhibiting aggregation were produced. The Pt-NP mean size values were between 2.2 ± 1.2 nm and 4.0 ± 1.0 nm, while their interplanar distance measurements showed a face-centered cubic (FFC) Pt lattice (111), as revealed by HR–STEM measurements, for all investigated samples. The smallest mean size of 2.2 nm of the Pt-NPs was obtained using a 2.3 J cm−2 laser fluence at a 10 Hz RR, and the narrowest size distribution of the NPs was obtained with a 2.3 J cm−2 laser fluence at a 40 Hz RR. A linear dependence of the Pt-NP diameters versus the laser repetition rate was found at a constant fluence of 2.3 J cm−2. The proposed eco-friendly synthesis route of Pt-NPs, because of its relative simplicity, has the potential for use in industrial production
