Редкий случай лейкемии
IMSP Institutul Mamei și CopiluluiJMML it’s a rare hereditary disease, but still represent’s a problem for early diagnosis, that is making serious challenges
for treatment and life hope for this patients. Ussualy these patients arrive too late to the haematologist or oncologist,
that’s why it’s absolutely necessary to know the criteria for early diagnosis.
Case report – 1 year old, male, with interesting associated findings that would potentially lead to delay in diagnosis or
misdiagnosis: anemic, infectious syndrome, and pronounced hepatosplenomegaly. Clinicians should always have high
index of suspicion for JMML in patients with these features.
Perovskite type nanopowders and thin films obtained by chemical methods
The review presents the contribution of the authors, to the preparation of two types of perovskites, namely BiFeO3 and LaCoO3, by innovative methods. The studied perovskites were obtained as powders, films and sintered bodies. Their complex structural and morphological characterization is also presented. The obtained results have underlined the important influence of the method of preparation on the properties of the synthesized perovskites
VEGF +936 C/T Genetic Polymorphism in Patients with Cervical Dysplasia
Aim. The present study aims to analyze the potential role of VEGF +936 C/T polymorphism in cervical intraepithelial neoplasia. Material and Method. One hundred and eighty-six patients were included in the study: 75 cases (patients diagnosed with CIN) and 111 controls (negative for both HPV testing and cytology). For each patient a single visit was scheduled when colposcopy was performed. From cervical specimen, cytology and HPV testing were performed and from peripheral blood VEGF +936 genotyping was determined. For statistical analysis purposes OR and chi-square were used at a level of significance of <0.05. Results. No link has been found in the detection of CT genotype in cases versus controls, OR = 0.8295, [0.42, 1.62]. An inverse correlation has been found between T allele and HSIL, OR = 0.2121, [0.0473, 0.9517], p=0.0866. Conclusion. No link has been found between VEGF +936 C/T and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia
Unconventional experimental technologies used for phase change materials (PCM) characterization: part2 morphological and structural characterization, physico-chemical stability and mechanical properties
Due to the high interest of appropriate characterization of PCM and hybrid PCM composites, different research centres and universities are using several material characterization techniques not commonly used with PCM, to study the structure and morphology of these materials. Likewise, physico-chemical stability is a crucial parameter for the performance of latent storage materials during time and its evaluation has been done by using molecular spectroscopy, chemiluminiscence or calorimetric tests. Atomic force microscopy and nanoindentation are also reported to characterize hybrid PCM composites

Likewise, physico-chemical stability is a crucial parameter for the performance of latent storage materials during time and its evaluation has been done by using molecular spectroscopy, chemiluminiscence or calorimetric tests. Atomic force microscopy and nanoindentation are also reported to characterize hybrid PCM composites. Other chemical aspects studied are related with the compatibility of the PCM and its container and also considered in this compilation of characterization work. The work is partially funded by the European Union (COST Action COST TU0802) and the Spanish government (ENE2011- 28269-C03-01, ENE2011-28269-C03-02 and ENE2011-22722). The authors would like to thank the Catalan Government for the quality accreditation given to their research group GREA (2014 SGR 123) and their research group DIOPMA (2014 SGR 1543). Aran Solé would like to thank the Departament d’Universitats, Recerca i Societat de la Informació de la Generalitat de Catalunya for her research fellowship
