    This paper deals with an analysis of the English language, as lingua franca of the Internet, mainly online business environment. If a business has already developed a Web site, it is important to translate the site into the target language of a particular foreign market. It sounds easy, but is a literal translation all that's required for a different culture? We shall see in the next parts of this paper. Indeed, nowadays, the whole humanity has at its disposal an exceptional, very powerful medium.     In the new world of technology, the translation profession, like other disciplines, cannot be deprived of modern tools such as electronic corpora. Recently, large monolingual, comparable and parallel corpora have played a crucial role in solving various problems of linguistics, including translation. During recent years, a large number of studies within the discipline of translation studies have focused on corpora and their applications in translation classes. Such studies mainly look into the kind of information trainee translators can elicit from corpora and the effect of using corpus data on the quality of translations produced. Corpora, however, have a lot more to offer to both translation teachers and translation students. Corpus-based translation classrooms, by their very nature, can offer considerable advantages far beyond what traditional translation classes have to offer. This article, in fact, aims to elaborate on advantages of using corpora in translation classrooms for teachers and students of translation.     In terms of quantity, the English (American) influence in the economic language is striking, remarkable. The adjustment of these terms is brief, relative, which is not a factor favoring the assimilation of loans, but is permissible, in principle, for Anglicisms. In what concerns the need for these loans, it can be deemed that the demarcation between "necessary loans" and "luxury loans" is not yet solid. Low frequency or isolated Anglicisms may be classified into the second category (some may even affect proper specialized communication). Even if enough Anglicisms recorded in the economic press will not remain in Romanian, "the era of the Internet, of globalization" , we may consider a greater influence of English in the economy (perhaps similar to computer science).Anglicisms, economic terms, specialized communication

    A consequence of the multi linguistics is the apparent facilitation of the scientific communication in the international community, through the quasi-unconditioned loan of the terms from one language to another. But the loan is not without lexical-semantic variations that can affect considerably the accuracy of the scientific communication. This theory is demonstrated in the present paper, mainly, by introducing the concept lexical-semantic discrepancy. To exemplify we chose the economic domain, where the mentioned phenomenon is very frequent. This paper deals with economic Romanian terms proceeded from French, but characterized by lexical-semantic discrepancies, sometimes difficult to see at first sight (Rom. afacere; business / Fr. affaire ; Rom. marca; brand / Fr. marque ; Rom. promovare; promotie / Fr. promotion ). The linguistic analysis proves that the similarities between the respective terms are associated with lexical-semantic discrepancies that can affect the accuracy in communication. The results of this analysis are useful for avoiding the mentioned negative effect
