    Neo-Industrialization of Russian Economy as a Source of Social Well-Being Growth

    The subject of well-being is an essential one for every society. Nowadays, a lot of scientific researchers have been doing to understand the concept of well-being, to find perfect conditions for individual social well-being and to outline the perfect design and content of well-being. Thus, the key economic goal of a modern society is a social well-being of its population. The concept “social well-being” is examined in different scientific fields, but there is no one unique definition for this concept. Thematic justification is determined by an interdisciplinary nature of investigation, the absence of a single conceptual unit and conditions which form social individual well-being in economic theory. In this study the concept of an individual social well-being is formulated and the key conditions for ensuring social well-being are determined with the help of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. Moreover, the main factor needed to form basic conditions of social well-being is examined. One of the main conditions is called neo-industrialization

    The paper deals with labour activity as a factor of the life-long well-being of older people. In the modern historical period one of the key economic goals of society is to provide a continuous well-being of its members. In the conditions when the aging of the population is a present and future problem of developed and developing countries, the most topical trend in the study of well-being of the individual in terms of the economic system is to provide a lifelong well-being of older people. A single formulated concept of the lifelong well-being and factors forming the lifelong well-being in economic theories are absent. In this paper the notion of the lifelong well-being, main factors of its performing are formulated. Material security as one of the key factors to ensure the lifelong well-being is described in details. Under the main condition for material security the labor activity allowing the retiree to increase total income to meet basic needs and also higher needs is distinguished.В современный исторический период одной из экономических целей общества становится обеспечение непрерывного благополучия его членов. В условиях, когда старение населения - это проблема настоящего и будущего развитых и развивающихся стран, наиболее актуальным направлением изучения благополучия индивида в условиях экономической системы является обеспечение непрерывного благополучия пожилых людей. Единого сформулированного понятия и факторов, формирующих непрерывное благополучие, в экономической теории не представлено. В рамках данной работы формулируется понятие непрерывного благополучия, выявляются основные факторы его обеспечения. Подробно рассматривается материальная обеспеченность, как один из факторов обеспечения непрерывного благополучия. В рамках условий формирования материальной обеспеченности выделяется трудовая активность, которая позволяет пенсионеру увеличить совокупный доход с целью удовлетворения базовых потребностей и потребностей более высокого порядка

    In modern conditions the process of human potential transformation is becoming the key factor that sets the vector of economic development. The problem of transformation of human potential is relevant, because of the needs to attract additional resources into the economy to ensure dynamic growth, which is a precursor to economic development.The key issue of the study is to explain the priority of social development in the XXI century, such as stimulating the development of creative human potential in the economy, and to study the main vector of processes of social transformation.The purpose of the study is to present a theoretical model of the social foundations of the new industrialization, designed to be a basis to overcome the negative structural shift of the Russian economy. In the study the individual will be considered not so much as a productive factor or set of functional characteristics, and reproducible but as a key social dominant, which creates prerequisites for economic growth and sets certain limits to it. The method of comparative analysis and the method of explication are used to study this issue. Due to the study results, the basic features of the social basis transformation of new industrialization are formulated. Moreover, the proliferation of the social basis for new economy industrialization takes place in the conditions when there are two parallel processes: stimulation of technological renewal and personnel renewal in modern economy

    The model of measuring the subjective well-being of a senior age group of population built on a reflective base is proved. The model methodology is based on the theory of needs, daily practices, system and life words of individual existence, and it allows defining measured parameters of subjective well-being recorded by the emotional involvement in main spheres of life. The goal of the paper is to justify the model content and to identify key indicators of the subjective significant indices of senior well-being. The objective of the study is to identify factors influencing the level of the subjective well-being of senior population. The study of the problem involves an explication method and a hermeneutical approach used to clarify the basic concepts of the research. Due to theoretical analysis, it is concluded that the subjective well-being is interpreted as an integral, relatively stable individual emotional response to the impact of the social environment and conditions of his/ her life. It is a result of human understanding and experiencing the meanings and significance of different aspects of human life, evolved from the conditions of human existence, which define the satisfaction degree of his/her needs, life opportunities, self-assertion, self-realization, and actions that are taken to get benefits

    The paper studies the loneliness phenomenon as a systemic problem of economic, social and emotional wellbeing of elderly people. The aim of this paper is to substantiate the modeling methodology of loneliness among elderly people, show the structure and content of its vision model. Loneliness is viewed as a systemic problem related to the daily practices of the elderly person, his well-being or disadvantage in the economic, social and emotional aspects. The authors propose the level search model for studying the loneliness phenomenon and consider its practical use in the evaluation of singlehood among elderly people. Methodological principles are identified to trace a connection between the inner and outer nature of singlehood

    Resilience predictors for older adults in Tomsk region

    In this article, we analyze the resilience of older adults and its probable predictors. Among predictors that affect the individual level of a person’s resilience in older age, we consider the participation in different types of activities and personal coping strategies to respond to challenges through the life-course. The article presents the results of a correlation analysis of resilience with the financial, consumer and labor behavior of older adults. We have revealed that the types of financial and consumer behavior, information and communication practices significantly differ for individuals with different resilience levels. Constructive coping with the new conditions and requirements for the well-being allows older adults to maintain a high level of resilience and participation in society. Older people, focused on mastering new skills for a successful life in a changing world, have high indicators of resilience, focus on self-confidence, energy, preventive overcoming of difficulties, have low rates of catastrophic situations
