Noise uncertainty effect on multi-channel cognitive radio networks
Achieving high throughput is the most important goal of cognitive radio networks. The main process in cognitive radio is spectrum sensing that targets getting vacant channels. There are many sensing methods like matched filter, feature detection, interference temperature and energy detection which is employed in the proposed system; however, energy detection suffers from noise uncertainty. In this paper a study of throughput under noise fluctuation effect is introduced. The work in this paper proposes multi-channel system; the overall multi-channel throughput is studied under noise fluctuation effect. In addition, the proficiency of the network has been examined under different number of channels and sensing time with noise uncertainty
Simple Analysis Used in Diagnosis and Follow-up of Schizophrenic Patients (Patent)
Dopamine acts as neurotransmitter in the central and peripheral sympathetic nervous system. Determination of dopamine (DO) was performed by spectrophotometric analysis depending on the formation of new colored compound. The proposed procedure was efficient in quantitative determination of DO as pure material in pharmaceutical preparations and in urine samples. DO concentration in urine sample of patient confirms the affection with schizophrenia and the proposed procedure was used to facilitate diagnosis and followup of schizophrenic patients. It is recommended to apply the proposed procedures as routine analysis in pharmaceutical companies for quality control and in analytical laboratories to diagnose and follow up schizophrenia
CRIOSPHINX STELA FROM TELL HEBOUA - NORTH SINAI
[En] A rectangular stela was found in the vicinity of Tell Heboua I by accident early 2020. The stela was uncovered 500 m to the west of the fortification walls of Heboua I, during a land reclamation project which is going on at the western vicinity of Tell Heboua I. Our well-trained guard Hassan al-Masody, recognized the limestone slab on top of the embankment of a small drainage canal. When turning this recognizable piece of stone, he found it to be decorated of a limestone stela. Inscribed materials that were discovered at Heboua area are still limited compared to the long history of the site and the extensive and continuous archaeological work done. This obviously due to the scarcity of the stone at this sandy remote area. In addition, every piece of stone in the North Sinai archeological sites was taken from its original place and reused along the history till now.
Geochemical Records Linking Plate Tectonics with Mantle Dynamics: Neoproterozoic and Beyond
This Ph.D. thesis investigates Earth’s dynamic evolution through geological time by addressing possible linkages between the evolution of the Earth’s mantle and crustal growth, plate tectonics, and superplume-supercontinental cycles. This is achieved through deciphering the geochemical records of mantle-derived/related rocks that characterised the Earth’s mantle evolution and processes at global-, regional- and micro- to nano-scales
Improve Quality of Smart Universities through Information Technology Infrastructure Library Methodology
This paper focuses on educational institutions are increasingly seeking innovative ways to enhance the quality of their services. Smart universities, a product of this technological evolution, aim to provide students with cutting-edge educational experiences. One of the pivotal factors in achieving this goal is the effective management of Information Technology (IT) services. The Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) methodology is recognized worldwide as a robust framework for IT service management. Its principles and best practices have been successfully applied in various sectors to optimize processes, enhance service quality, and ensure efficient resource utilization. Given the ever-growing reliance on IT within educational institutions, implementing ITIL in smart universities has the potential to significantly elevate the quality of education. This paper explores the vital role that the ITIL methodology plays in improving the quality of smart universities. It delves into how the principles and practices of ITIL can be strategically integrated into the operational fabric of higher education institutions. By leveraging ITIL, universities can not only bolster their IT service management but also enrich the overall educational experience for students, ultimately contributing to the realization of truly smart and technologically advanced learning environments
Stress, anxiety, depression among medical undergraduate students at Benha University and their socio-demographic correlates
Background: Medical students display poorer mental health when compared to equivalent peers. Learning environment, educational debt, hard workload, and sleep disturbance make them more liable for mental disorders as anxiety and depression. Objective: The aim of the current work was to determine prevalence and factors associated with depression, anxiety and stress among medical students.Patients and Methods: A cross-sectional study using a self-administered questionnaire was distributed to students in the six grades at Benha Faculty of Medicine. Students were chosen by stratified random sample technique. The total participants were 597.Results: Out of included students; 88.8%, 82.6% & 82.7% experienced depression, anxiety, and stress respectively. A statistically significant difference between smokers and non-smokers (14.3±4.9&11.5±5.6 respectively) was found regarding depression score. The mean anxiety and stress scores were significantly higher between females (9.78±5.4 & 13.03±4.9 respectively) than males. The third grade had the highest mean of anxiety and stress score (10.1±4.8, p value =0.03 &14.02±3.9, p value =0.000 respectively). There was a statistically significant difference in depression and anxiety scores as regarding Personal income. Two Spectrophotometric Assays for Dopamine Derivatives in Pharmaceutical Products and in Biological Samples of Schizophrenic Patients Using Copper Tetramine Complex and Triiodide Reagent
Two simple, rapid, and sensitive spectrophotometric methods are proposed for the determination of levodopa (LD). The first method is based on coupling of 4-aminoantipyrine (4-AAP) with one of the dopamine derivatives (LD, CD) to give a new ligand that reacts with copper tetramine complex to give intensely colored chelates. The colored products are quantified spectrophotometrically at 525 and 520 nm for LD and CD, respectively. The optimization of the experimental conditions is described. The method has been used for the determination of 19.7–69.0 and 18.1–54.3 μg mL(−1) of LD and CD, respectively. The accuracy of the method is achieved by the values of recovery (100 ± 0.2%) and the precision is supported by the low standard deviation (SD = 0.17–0.59) and relative standard deviation (CV = 0.4%–1.54%) values. The second method is based on the formation of ion-pair iodinated inner sphere or outer sphere colored complexes between the LD and triiodide ions at pH 5 and room temperature (23 ± 3(°)C). This method has been used for the determination of LD within the concentration range 39.44–78.88 μg mL(−1) with SD = 0.22–0.24 and recovery percent = 100 ± 0.3%. The sensitivity of the two methods is indicated by Sandell's sensitivity of 0.014–0.019 g cm(−2). The results of the two methods are compared with those of the official method. The interference of common drug additives, degradation products, and excipients was also studied. The proposed methods were applied successfully to the determination of the LD-CD synthetic mixture and Levocare drug. The determination of LD in urine of some schizophrenic patients was applied with good precision and accuracy. The reliability of the methods was established by parallel determinations against the official British pharmacopoeia method
