A measurement of the total charm cross section in 200 and 360 gev/c pn interactions using a holographic bubble chamber
We present results from the first holographic bubble chamber experiment. Using topological information on the events observed in the heavy liquid bubble chamber HOBC, we have determined a total charm pair produc-tion cross section of (24.6ts+12.0 -8.3) μb and (3.9+2 -1:5 9) /μb in 360GeV/c and 200 GeV/c proton-nucleon interactions respectively. For these estimates we assumed a linear dependence of the charm cross section on the atomic number A. © 1986 IOP Publishing Ltd.SCOPUS: ar.jinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishe
A combined analysis of the K+ → π0e+ν and K+ → π0μ+ν decay modes
A model independent determination of the form factors ξ(q2) and f(q2) has been made, measuring, in intervals of q2, the partial branching ratio Γ (Kμ3+) Γ(Ke3+) and using the results of the Ke3+ Dalitz plot density analysis. No experimental evidence has been found for a strong deviation from a linear q2 dependence of the form factors. Within this approximation a combined analysis of the Ke3+ and Kμ3+ Dalitz plots gives the parameters λ0 = -0.017 ± 0.011 or alternatively ξ(0) = -1.3 ± 0.7 and ξ(4.4 mπ2) = -0.45 ± 0.13, with in both cases a fitted value of λ+ = 0.025 ± 0.007. © 1974.SCOPUS: ar.jinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishe
An experimental study of the K+ → πoμ+ν decay dalitz plot
A sample of K+μ3 events, detected in the CERN 1.1 m3 heavy-liquid bubble chamber, has been used to investigate the q2 dependence of the form factors, giving ξ(0) = -1.1 ± 1.0 and ξ(6.6m2π) = -0.34 ± 0.20, for λ+ = 0.027. A three parameter fit gives a value for λ+ = 0.025 ± 0.017 in good agreement with the preceding Ke3 analysis. © 1973.SCOPUS: ar.jinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishe
