Methodology for assessing and reducing the aerodynamic imbalance of the impellers of GTE fans

    No full text
The reasons for the occurrence of increased vibration of the engine rotor due to aerodynamic imbalance of the fan of the first stage of the impeller are determined. A method for estimating the aerodynamic imbalance of the gas turbine engine fan is proposed, taking into account the influence of the following factors: geometric errors in the manufacture of blade airfoils and their positioning in the disk; deformation of the blade airfoil during the assembly of the impeller, as well as the factors of the working process occurring in the impeller. The use of the technique makes it possible to evaluate the aerodynamic imbalance of the impeller at the stage of its balancing and significantly reduce the amount of aerodynamic imbalance by determining the parameters for removing a layer of material or adding corrective masses. The influence of geometric errors of the blades on the value of the aerodynamic imbalance of the impeller was analyzed. Based on the results of the research, the type of dependence of unbalanced gas forces on the influence of technological and operational factors of the impeller under consideration was determined

MULTICULTURALISM AND EDUCATIONAL PRACTICE: PROBLEMS OF SOCIO-CULTURAL IDENTITY PRESERVATION

    No full text
The article touches upon the actual problem of our time, related to the influence of the policy of multiculturalism on educational sphere of specific countries. The authors explore the factors that contributed to the formation of this policy in educational system. The positive and negative effects of multiculturalism, which are manifested in educational institutions, are analyzed. The signs of transformation of traditional value system under the influence of multiculturalism are revealed. The authors outline new trends, which bears in itself multiculturalism, being introduced into the educational space of Russia. Particular attention is paid to the subject-object relations in educational process. The authors draw attention to the role of information technology in the spread of multiculturalism in the educational sphere of any society. The article proves that the newest information technologies guarantee the subjects of globalization a priority not only in economy, but also in culture. Global education involves the distribution of the world according to the subject-object attribute. The nations that nowadays play the role of the object of globalization rely on the appropriate educational level. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the prospects for the implementation of the policy of multiculturalism in education as a social institution. The authors conclude that under modern conditions of development of society, an education development strategy should help solve problems of the regional level, optimally fitting into the global context

Numerical investigations of stainless steel melt motions on the surface of uranium dioxide

    No full text
The paper contains the results of numerical simulation of stainless steel melt motions on the surface of uranium dioxide. The investigations are performed for purposes of understanding of the fuel rod behavior during the core disruptive accident in the fast reactors. The systems of mass, energy and momentum conservation equations are solved to simulate melt motion on the surface of the fuel pin. Heat transfer and friction between melt and pin's surface and melt and coolant flow are taken into consideration. The dependences of mass of the melt and the features of the melt motion on coolant velocity and contact angle between melt and surface of the fuel rod are presented

Physical modelling of the motion of a liquid metal melt along the surface of a heated rod

The investigation of the melt flow of a liquid metal along the surface of a heated rod is carried up. In the experiments, the metal from the upper volume was drained over the surface of a quartz tube, heated from the inside. This pipe is used to simulate a fuel column. A high-speed video of the process was produced. Data are obtained on the features of the flow of a metal melt. The stages of formation of droplets are shown. The data on the shape and velocity of the droplet movement are given. It is shown that in the air atmosphere around the test section when the first drop passes on the surface of quartz, a trace is formed, along which the metal moves in the future. Direct and curvilinear rivulet flows on the rod's surface are also observed
