Microscopic approach to large-amplitude deformation dynamics with local QRPA inertial masses
We have developed a new method for determining microscopically the
fivedimensional quadrupole collective Hamiltonian, on the basis of the
adiabatic self-consistent collective coordinate method. This method consists of
the constrained Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov (HFB) equation and the local QRPA
(LQRPA) equations, which are an extension of the usual QRPA (quasiparticle
random phase approximation) to non-HFB-equilibrium points, on top of the CHFB
states. One of the advantages of our method is that the inertial functions
calculated with this method contain the contributions of the time-odd
components of the mean field, which are ignored in the widely-used cranking
formula. We illustrate usefulness of our method by applying to oblate-prolate
shape coexistence in 72Kr and shape phase transition in neutron-rich Cr
isotopes around N=40.Comment: 6pages, talk given at Rutherford Centennial Conference on Nuclear

M5-brane Effective Action as an On-shell Action in Supergravity
We show that the covariant effective action for M5-brane is a solution to the
Hamilton-Jacobi (H-J) equations of 11-dimensional supergravity. The solution to
the H-J equations reproduces the supergravity solution that represents the
M2-M5 bound states.Comment: 20 pages, references added, typos correcte
Classical A_n--W-Geometry
This is a detailed development for the case, of our previous article
entitled "W-Geometries" to be published in Phys. Lett. It is shown that the
--W-geometry corresponds to chiral surfaces in . This is comes out
by discussing 1) the extrinsic geometries of chiral surfaces (Frenet-Serret and
Gauss-Codazzi equations) 2) the KP coordinates (W-parametrizations) of the
target-manifold, and their fermionic (tau-function) description, 3) the
intrinsic geometries of the associated chiral surfaces in the Grassmannians,
and the associated higher instanton- numbers of W-surfaces. For regular points,
the Frenet-Serret equations for --W-surfaces are shown to give the
geometrical meaning of the -Toda Lax pair, and of the conformally-reduced
WZNW models, and Drinfeld-Sokolov equations. KP coordinates are used to show
that W-transformations may be extended as particular diffeomorphisms of the
target-space. This leads to higher-dimensional generalizations of the WZNW and
DS equations. These are related with the Zakharov- Shabat equations. For
singular points, global Pl\"ucker formulae are derived by combining the
-Toda equations with the Gauss-Bonnet theorem written for each of the
associated surfaces.Comment: (60 pages
Model of M-theory with Eleven Matrices
We show that an action of a supermembrane in an eleven-dimensional spacetime
with a semi-light-cone gauge can be written only with Nambu-Poisson bracket and
an invariant symmetric bilinear form under an approximation. Thus, the action
under the conditions is manifestly covariant under volume preserving
diffeomorphism even when the world-volume metric is flat. Next, we propose two
3-algebraic models of M-theory which are obtained as a second quantization of
an action that is equivalent to the supermembrane action under the
approximation. The second quantization is defined by replacing Nambu-Poisson
bracket with finite-dimensional 3-algebras' brackets. Our models include eleven
matrices corresponding to all the eleven space-time coordinates in M-theory
although they possess not SO(1,10) but SO(1,2) x SO(8) or SO(1,2) x SU(4) x
U(1) covariance. They possess N=1 space-time supersymmetry in eleven dimensions
that consists of 16 kinematical and 16 dynamical ones. We also show that the
SU(4) model with a certain algebra reduces to BFSS matrix theory if DLCQ limit
is taken.Comment: 20 pages, references, a table and discussions added, typos correcte
Notes on the algebraic curves in (p,q) minimal string theory
Loop amplitudes in (p,q) minimal string theory are studied in terms of the
continuum string field theory based on the free fermion realization of the KP
hierarchy. We derive the Schwinger-Dyson equations for FZZT disk amplitudes
directly from the W_{1+\infty} constraints in the string field formulation and
give explicitly the algebraic curves of disk amplitudes for general
backgrounds. We further give annulus amplitudes of FZZT-FZZT, FZZT-ZZ and ZZ-ZZ
branes, generalizing our previous D-instanton calculus from the minimal unitary
series (p,p+1) to general (p,q) series. We also give a detailed explanation on
the equivalence between the Douglas equation and the string field theory based
on the KP hierarchy under the W_{1+\infty} constraints.Comment: 61 pages, 1 figure, section 2.5 and Appendix B added, references

The algebra of flat currents for the string on AdS_5 x S^5 in the light-cone gauge
We continue the program initiated in hep-th/0411200 and calculate the algebra
of the flat currents for the string on AdS_5 x S^5 background in the light-cone
gauge with kappa-symmetry fixed. We find that the algebra has a closed form and
that the non-ultralocal terms come with a weight factor e^{\phi} that depends
on the radial AdS_5 coordinate. Based on results in two-dimensional sigma
models coupled to gravity via the dilaton field, this suggests that the algebra
of transition matrices in the present case is likely to be unambigous.Comment: 27 pages, references added, version published in JHE
Search for Outer Massive Bodies around Transiting Planetary Systems: Candidates of Faint Stellar Companions around HAT-P-7
We present results of direct imaging observations for HAT-P-7 taken with the
Subaru HiCIAO and the Calar Alto AstraLux. Since the close-in transiting planet
HAT-P-7b was reported to have a highly tilted orbit, massive bodies such as
giant planets, brown dwarfs, or a binary star are expected to exist in the
outer region of this system. We show that there are indeed two candidates for
distant faint stellar companions around HAT-P-7. We discuss possible roles
played by such companions on the orbital evolution of HAT-P-7b. We conclude
that as there is a third body in the system as reported by Winn et al. (2009,
ApJL, 763, L99), the Kozai migration is less likely while planet-planet
scattering is possible.Comment: 8 pages, 3 figures, 2 tables, PASJ in pres
Virasoro constraint for Nekrasov instanton partition function
We show that Nekrasov instanton partition function for SU(N) gauge theories
satisfies recursion relations in the form of U(1)+Virasoro constraints when
{\beta} = 1. The constraints give a direct support for AGT conjecture for
general quiver gauge theories.Comment: 23 pages, 7 figures. v2: typos correcte
