Hadronic Correlators from All-point Quark Propagators
A method for computing all-point quark propagators is applied to a variety of
processes of physical interest in lattice QCD. The method allows, for example,
efficient calculation of disconnected parts and full momentum-space 2 and 3
point functions. Examples discussed include: extraction of chiral Lagrangian
parameters from current correlators, the pion form factor, and the unquenched

Higgs bosons of a supersymmetric model at the Large Hadron Collider
It is found that CP symmetry may be explicitly broken in the Higgs sector of
a supersymmetric model with two extra neutral gauge bosons at the
one-loop level. The phenomenology of the model, the Higgs sector in particular,
is studied for a reasonable parameter space of the model, in the presence of
explicit CP violation at the one-loop level. At least one of the neutral Higgs
bosons of the model might be produced via the fusion process at the Large

Explicit CP violation in a MSSM with an extra
We study that a minimal supersymmetric standard model with an extra
gauge symmetry may accommodate the explicit CP violation at the one-loop level
through radiative corrections. This model is CP conserving at the tree level
and cannot realize the spontaneous CP violation for a wide parameter space at
the one-loop level. In explicit CP violation scenario, we calculate the Higgs
boson masses and the magnitude of the scalar-pseudoscalar mixings in this model
at the one-loop level by taking into account the contributions of top quarks,
bottom quarks, exotic quarks, and their superpartners. In particular, we
investigate how the exotic quarks and squarks would affect the
scalar-pseudoscalar mixings. It is observed that the size of the mixing between
the heaviest scalar and pseudoscalar Higgs bosons is changed up to 20 % by a
complex phase originated from the exotic quark sector of this model.Comment: 19 pages, 3 figure
Recent results using all-point quark propagators
Pseudofermion methods for extracting all-point quark propagators are
reviewed, with special emphasis on techniques for reducing or eliminating
autocorrelations induced by low eigenmodes of the quark Dirac operator. Recent
applications, including high statistics evaluations of hadronic current

Higgs bosons of a supersymmetric model at the ILC
We study the scalar Higgs sector of the next-to-minimal supersymmetric
standard model with an extra U(1), which has two Higgs doublets and a Higgs
singlet, in the light leptophobic scenario where the extra neutral gauge
boson does not couple to charged leptons. In this model, we find that the
sum of the squared coupling coefficients of the three neutral scalar Higgs
bosons to , normalized by the corresponding SM coupling coefficient is
noticeably smaller than unity, due to the effect of the extra U(1), for a
reasonable parameter space of the model, whereas it is unity in the
next-to-minimal supersymmetric standard model. Thus, these two models may be
distinguished if the coupling coefficients of neutral scalar Higgs bosons to
are measured at the future International Linear Collider by producing them

Forest Carbon Sequestration under the U.S. Biofuel Energy Policies
This paper analyzes impacts of the U.S. biofuel energy policies on the carbon sequestration by forest products, which is expressed as Harvested Wood Products (HWP) Contribution under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. Estimation for HWP Contribution is based on tracking carbon stock stored in wood and paper products in use and in solid-waste disposal sites (SWDS) from domestic consumption, harvests, imports, and exports. For this analysis, we hypothesize four alternative scenarios using the existing and pending U.S. energy policies by requirements for the share of biofuel to total energy consumption, and solve partial equilibrium for the U.S. timber market by 2030 for each scenario. The U.S. Forest Products Module (USFPM), created by USDA Forest Service Lab, operating within the Global Forest Products Model (GFPM) is utilized for projecting productions, supplies, and trade quantities for the U.S. timber market equilibrium. Based on those timber market components, we estimate scenario-specific HWP Contributions under the Production, the Stock Change, and the Atmospheric Approach suggested by Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Guidelines for National Greenhouse Gas Inventories using WOODCARB II created by VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland and modified by USDA Forest Service Lab. Lastly, we compare estimated results across alternative scenarios. Results show that HWP Contributions for the baseline scenario in 2009 for all approaches are estimated higher than estimates reported by U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in 2011, (e.g., 22.64 Tg C/ year vs 14.80 Tg C/ year under the Production Approach), which is due to the economic recovery, especially in housing construction, assumed in USFPM/GFPM. Projected HWP Contribution estimates show that the Stock Change Approach, which used to provide the highest estimates before 2009, estimate HWP Contribution lowest after 2009 due to the declining annual net imports. Though fuel wood consumption is projected to be expanded as an alternative scenario requires higher wood fuel share to total energy consumption, the overall impacts on the expansion in other timber products are very modest across scenarios in USFPM/GFPM. Those negligible impacts lead to small differences of HWP Contribution estimates under all approaches across alternative scenarios. This is explained by the points that increasing logging residues are more crucial for expansion in fuel wood projections rather than the expansion of forest sector itself, and that the current HWP Contribution does not include carbon held in fuel wood products by its definition.Forest Products, Carbon Sequestration, Biofuel Policies, HWP Contribution, Resource /Energy Economics and Policy,
A canine model of irreversible urethral sphincter insufficiency
OBJECTIVE To develop a canine model of external urinary sphincter insufficiency by creating irreversible damage to the sphincter, because there is a need for a reliable and reproducible large animal model for the study of stress urinary incontinence (SUI) caused by deficient sphincter function. MATERIALS AND METHODS About a quarter of the total external sphincter muscle was removed microsurgically from seven female dogs; three age-matched dogs served as normal controls. The dogs had standard urodynamic and radiographic studies before and at 1, 2, 3, 4 and 7 months after surgery. Three dogs were killed at 4 months and four at 7 months after surgery for tissue analyses. RESULTS The interventions produced a consistent outcome. Urodynamic studies showed a significant and sustained decrease in sphincter function, which included a static urethral pressure profile, stress urethral profile and detrusor leak-point pressure. Furthermore, in vivo pudendal nerve stimulation and organ-bath studies of the retrieved tissue strips confirmed the loss of sphincter tissue function. Histologically, absence of functional sphincter muscle was evident in the damaged sphincter region. CONCLUSIONS These results show that a reliable and reproducible canine model of irreversible sphincter insufficiency can be created by microsurgical removal of sphincter muscle tissue.
