Analysis of genetic variability in populations of a terrestrial snail Chondrula tridens MÜll. (Gastropoda, Pulmonata), Based on the RAPD and ISSR Markers
In this study we examined evolutionary processes in the populations of small mobile animal species, the terrestrial mollusks Chondrula tridens Müll. (Ch. tridens) in the urbanized landscape. We applied PCR methodology, using the RAPD and ISSR DNA markers, to define the genetic structure in the Ch. tridens populations, inhabiting the Mid-Russian Upland. Analysis of the obtained DNA patterns uncovered the presence of both polymorphic and monomorphic alleles. Based on this data, we defined the levels of genetic variability in the studied Ch. tridens populations, and determined the factors affecting formation of the population’s gene pool in this species. We present our conclusions on the genome structure and gene pool distri-bution in the populations of the Ch. tridens in the urbanized landscap
Estimating the state of population gene pools of the specially protected Helicopsis striata (Mollusca, Gastropoda, Pulmonata) species based on DNA markers
Based on DNA markers (RAPD and ISSR), the state of gene pools of nineteen populations of the specially protected relict Helicopsis striata (Mollusca, Gastropoda, Pulmonata) species in conditions of the Central Russian Upland south was studie
Temporal dynamics of the genetic structure and effective size of Bradybaena fruticum müll : Mollusca, Gastropoda, Pulmonata : Populations in the south of the central Russian upland
Studies on the gene pool structure in ten populations of the bush snail Bradybaena fruticum Müll. inhabiting the southern Central Russian Upland were performed with a time interval of 14 years, in 1996 and 2010. Significant changes were revealed in allele frequencies and the level of genetic diversity. Using the temporal method (Krimbas and Tsakas, 1971; Nei and Tajima, 1981), the effective population size was calculated for the studied groups of mollusks. Specific features of the metapopulation structure of Br. fruticum in an urbanized landscape are discussedyesBelgorod State National Research Universit
The genetic structure of populations of the specially protected androsace kozo-poljanskii Ovsz. Species under the conditions of the Southern Central Russian upland based on DNA markers
Based on DNA markers (Inter simple sequence repeats (ISSR)) the state of the gene pools of 10 populations (438 individuals) of specially protected relict plant species androsace kozo-poljanskii Ovsz. Seu androsace villosa subsp. koso-poljanskii Fed. in the Southern Central Russian upland is studie
Morphogenetic analysis of Helix pomatia L. (Pulmonata, Helicidae) populations from south- eastern and eastern parts of the modern area
Based on the analysis of the morphological and genetic variability detected by the method of the protein gel electrophoresis in PAAG, the gene pool state of twelve adventive Helix pomatia L. grape snail populations under the conditions of urbanized landscapes of southeastern and eastern parts of the modern are
Population genetic structure of Helixpomatia L. (Mollusca, Pulmonata) from the southeastern and eastern parts of the range
On the basis of the analysis of genetic variation detectable by ISSR-PCR, the state of the gene pools of 14 populations of Roman snail Helix pomatia L. in the conditions of urbanized landscapes of the southeastern and eastern parts of the current range was examined. According to the data obtained, the majority of the studied populations of this mollusk are in satisfactory conditio
Reproductive toxicity of carbon nanostructured material - a promising carrier of drugs in laboratory mice
At the same time, the purpose of this study was to evaluate the reaction of the reproductive system on the carbon nanostructured material "Taunit (multi-walled carbon nanotubes), that was injected to laboratory miceyesBelgorod State Universit
Genetic structure analysis of the alien mollusk Stenomphalia ravergiensis (Mollusca, Gastropoda, Pulmonata) population in Belgorod (Russia)
Gel electrophoretic analysis of allozymes was used to study the genetic structure of the population of the alien mollusk Stenomphalia ravergiensis that inhabits urbanized landscapes in the town of Belgorod (Russia). A high genetic variability level and low values of inbreeding coefficient were characteristic of most colonie
Estimating the impact of ungulates on holocene steppe ecosystems by analyzing repaired injuries in land snail shells
In this study we propose a method for estimating the impact of ungulates on Holocene steppe ecosystems by analyzing repaired injuries in fossil shells of the land snail Helicopsis striata Mülle
