Towards an Understanding of the New Charm and Charm-Strange Mesons
The observation of the D_{sJ}^*(2317), D_{sJ}(2460), and SELEX D^*_{sJ}(2632)
states with properties differing considerably from what was expected has led to
a renewed interest in hadron spectroscopy. In addition to these states,
non-strange partners of the D_{sJ} states have also been observed.
Understanding the D_0^* and D_1' states can provide important insights into the
D_{sJ} states. In this contribution I examine quark model predictions for the
D_0^* and D_1' states and discuss experimental measurements that can shed light
on them. I find that these states are well described as the broad, j=1/2
non-strange charmed P-wave mesons. In the latter part of this writeup I discuss
the c bar{s} possibilities for the SELEX D^*_{sJ}(2632) and measurements that

The data on the role of chemokine genes (+1931A/T CCL4, A/G CXCL11 (rs4512021), -403A/G CCL5, C/G CCL2 (rs2857657), -801G/A CXCL12) in the formation of terminal stage of chronic renal failure, in patients with chronic glomerulonephritis, is presented in the work. It was established, that the allele A CXCL11 (rs4512021) (OR = 1.65) was the marker for the development of terminal stage of chronic renal insufficiency, and the genotype GG CXCL11was a protective factor for the development of terminal stage of chronic renal failure (OR = 0.22
Nonlocality, Bell's Ansatz and Probability
Quantum Mechanics lacks an intuitive interpretation, which is the cause of a
generally formalistic approach to its use. This in turn has led to a certain
insensitivity to the actual meaning of many words used in its description and
interpretation. Herein, we analyze carefully the possible mathematical meanings
of those terms used in analysis of EPR's contention, that Quantum Mechanics is
incomplete, as well as Bell's work descendant therefrom. As a result, many
inconsistencies and errors in contemporary discussions of nonlocality, as well
as in Bell's Ansatz with respect to the laws of probability, are identified.
Evading these errors precludes serious conflicts between Quantum Mechanics and

Fixed Effect Estimation of Large T Panel Data Models
This article reviews recent advances in fixed effect estimation of panel data
models for long panels, where the number of time periods is relatively large.
We focus on semiparametric models with unobserved individual and time effects,
where the distribution of the outcome variable conditional on covariates and
unobserved effects is specified parametrically, while the distribution of the
unobserved effects is left unrestricted. Compared to existing reviews on long
panels (Arellano and Hahn 2007; a section in Arellano and Bonhomme 2011) we
discuss models with both individual and time effects, split-panel Jackknife
bias corrections, unbalanced panels, distribution and quantile effects, and
other extensions. Understanding and correcting the incidental parameter bias
caused by the estimation of many fixed effects is our main focus, and the
unifying theme is that the order of this bias is given by the simple formula
p/n for all models discussed, with p the number of estimated parameters and n

Resource-efficient methods for predicting and selecting heat-resistant alloys
The power plant resource efficiency is largely dependent on heat-resistant alloys and is limited by the standard turbine operating temperature, which is slightly greater than 1000°C. These temperature limits are dependent on the characteristics of the heat-resistant alloys used in power plants. The current research aimed to discover new heat-resistant alloys using computer-based models to simulate the various properties of such materials. The first-principle methods were initially used in this study. These methods can determine the most important properties of alloys with a high degree of accuracy. This study presented an overview of the software used for first-principle simulation. Using RuAl as the demonstration alloy in this study, we provided step-by-step instructions on how to effectively study the properties of the heat-resistant alloys. Using the first-principle methods, the phonon spectrum and density of the phonon states of B2 RuAl were assessed. We use the parameters of the phonon spectrum to calculate the Grьneisen constant, volume coefficient of thermal expansion, Debye temperature, and temperature dependence of the heat capacity to estimate the melting temperature. Based on the RuAl alloy, the bulk moduli of the elasticity and equilibrium values of lattice parameters were calculated. The simulated results showed good agreement with the experimental data. The calculated parameters of RuAl were compared with those of the NiAl heat-resistant alloy. Using these results, we presented a method for selecting an alloy based on the replacement of ruthenium with nickel in the RuAl alloy. Selection was performed by analyzing the bulk modulus of elasticity and the electron structure of the Ru(Ni)Al alloy
