Features of self-esteem in patients with various speech disorders

The paper presents the results of the self-assessment study in patients with aphasia and dysarthria after stroke or traumatic brain injury. All the patients were neurorehabilitation course. Self-esteem is considered as important parameter in the study of the psychological status of patients. This article describes the differences in the quantitative and qualitative parameters of self-esteem in patients with various speech defect (motor aphasia, temporal aphasia, dysarthria). The actual self-esteem is evaluated in the retrospective (before disease) and is compared with the ideal indicators. Self-esteem is studied using three methods that allow to reveal both quantitative and qualitative characteristics of self-esteem. To obtain a complete picture of self-esteem changing in the disease situation, the actual self-confidence state in the retrospective (to disease) and an ideal self-evaluation are studied. Patients with logaphasia are characterized by low self-esteem in the present and in the ideal plane on a background of retrospective self-esteem. Patients with temporal aphasia showed the opposite picture of self-evaluation at present and in the ideal plane. Violation of the speech expressive aspect is the most debilitating factor which places significant restrictions on such social sectors as career, friendships, physical attractiveness. Restrictions on communicative possibilities in patients with compensated logaphasia first choice of moral and ethical qualities to characterize themselves at the time of illness are observed. Comparing the results of different methods revealed the declared self-esteem (for others) and self-esteem for oneself. The results indicate that the quality of the speech defect is a significant factor in the study of self-esteem

Assessment of the role of lipoprotein a level in the development of cardiovascular diseases

A comparative study of 2 groups of patients with cardiovascular diseases with high and normal levels of lipoprotein (a) was conducted to determine the relationship between high levels of Lp (a) and the nature of the development of cardiovascular events. According to the results of the study, conclusions were drawn about the significance of the level of Lp (a), as well as lipidlowering therapy in patients with cardiovascular disease. The features of the patient population with the expected increase in Lp (a) and the predominance of damage to the arteries of the brachiocephalus in individuals with elevated Lp (a) were revealed. Hypolipidemic statin therapy with satisfactory correction of the lipid spectrum does not always allow monitoring of the increase in Lp (a)Для анализа эффективности коррекции уровня ЛП(а) проведено сравнительное исследование 2 групп пациентов с сердечно-сосудистыми заболеваниями с высоким и нормальным уровнями липопротеина(а) с целью определения связи между высоким уровнем Лп(а) и характером развития сердечно-сосудистых событий. Kidney pathology and nephroprotection among patients with COVID-19

А number of medical articles, documents and described clinical cases were studied to analyze the dependence of kidney function on COVID-19 disease. A number of conclusions were drawn about the significance of kidney involvement in the clinical picture of COVID-19 and the role of AKF in the adverse outcome. Risk factors from the kidneys for coronavirus infection and renal complications of COVID-19 were also established. In addition, the effect of drugs prescribed to patients with coronavirus infection on kidney function was analyzed. As a result, conclusions were drawn about events that could prevent kidney damage and improve the prognosis of life and recovery in patients with COVID-19.Для анализа зависимости функции почек от заболевания COVID-19 был изучен ряд медицинских статей, документов и описанных клинических случаев. Был сделан ряд выводов о значимости вовлеченности почек в клиническую картину COVID-19 и роли ОПП в неблагоприятном исходе.
