Thinking About Fairness & Achieving Balance in Mediation
This Article identifies five sources of bias present in mediation practice: (1) categorization, (2) attribution, (3) metaphorical expression, (4) norming, and (5) framing. For each of these cognitive efficiencies, which contribute to bias in mediation, the author provides practice recommendations. Finally, the author suggests that the Article be read as a proposal for further thought and inquiry to improve the fairness of mediators
Inclusion of known integrals in the optimal trajectory problem
The classical problem of determination of the rocket trajectory which minimizes mass expenditure during motion between two points in the field of a single gravitating body is analyzed. The known integrals of the system are incorporated into the adjoint equations resulting in a reduction from a seventh-order adjoint system to a third-order adjoint system. The first case which is treated in that of planar motion under specific end conditions. In this case a regularization of the recently derived equations is achieved. The general three-dimensional case is also reduced from a seventh-order adjoint system to a third-order adjoint system. In this case a regularization has not been found
Application of artificial intelligence to impulsive orbital transfers
A generalized technique for the numerical solution of any given class of problems is presented. The technique requires the analytic (or numerical) solution of every applicable equation for all variables that appear in the problem. Conditional blocks are employed to rapidly expand the set of known variables from a minimum of input. The method is illustrated via the use of the Hohmann transfer problem from orbital mechanics
Hybrid meson properties in Lattice QCD and Flux Tube Models
Flux tube model predictions for hybrid meson decays are beginning to be
confronted by Lattice QCD. We compare the two approaches for the -wave decay
of the exotic , and find excellent agreement. Results suggest that in
Strong QCD, \qq~ creation occurs with S=1.Comment: 6 pages, 1 figure, v2: discussion of parameters and lattice

Propulsion sizing program
Computer program was written to evaluate and define optimum design parameters of low pressure auxiliary propulsion system. APS will provide attitude and translational control of space shuttle vehicles. Program evaluates subsystem design parameters such as engine chamber pressure, mixture ratio, expansion ratio, and subsystem component weight and size

Dynamics of hadron strong production and decay
We generalize results of lattice QCD to determine the spin-dependent
symmetries and factorization properties of meson production in OZI allowed
processes. This explains some conjectures previously made in the literature
about axial meson decays and gives predictions for exclusive decays of vector
charmonia, including ways of establishing the structure of Y(4260) and Y(4325)
from their S-wave decays. Factorization gives a selection rule which forbids
near threshold with the tensor meson in helicity 2. The
relations among amplitudes for double charmonia production \e^+e^-\to
\psi\chi_{0,1,2} are expected to differ from the analagous relations among
light flavour production such as \e^+e^-\to \omega f_{0,1,2}.Comment: 13 pages; journal versio
