What are the internal and external solutions (concept of resilience) that we can bring to a “toxic” parent (or perverse narcissic manipulator)?
Understanding the toxic relationships in which victims of a “toxic” parent are trapped, finding tools that will allow these grown-up children to get out of the grip they have been in, often since birth. The aim of this article is to better understand and identify this concept of parental toxicity, not only by the very functioning of the “toxic” parent and the consequences for the child, but also on the potential for social and cultural development and relationships. In other words, how to become a support of effective resilience in the face of toxic relationship dynamics ? Moreover, the notion of “perverse narcissistic manipulator” is a concept with a low falsifiability for which this article requires in order to distinguish other underlying pathologies. Through research and in-depth bibliographical study of many recognized international works, the main conclusions demonstrate the importance of understanding not only the specificity of the cognitive and behavioral patterns of both the “toxic” parent and those of the adult child, and the possibility of resilience development
Analysis of the therapeutic impact on a patient suffering from a personality disorder with a possible perverse connotation and dissociation disorder in a traumatic context
This work focuses on the treatment of people suffering from post-traumatic stress with identity dissociation and personality disorders and, possibly, a "perverse connotation" in the relationship with the other. It therefore seemed appropriate to ask whether it is possible to treat all these symptoms in the context of trauma psychotherapy. Should the personality disorder be treated before the trauma What elements should be taken into account when considering treatment Which approaches should be favoured What tools should be used in psycho-trauma techniques Or should we refuse this type of psychotherapy from the outset These questions and many others seem to be relevant, and the aim of the research will be to provide elements that can answer them concisely. The aim of this work will be to shed light on and reflect on the limits of the therapeutic work that can be envisaged, as well as the tools that can be used while accompanying the patient in his or her humanity and suffering, while respecting the limits of the therapeutic possibility
Eating disorders as an alternative to sexuality - how does eating disorders affect sexuality?
The interest of this article aims at a possible reading on how to approach the subject of sexuality and eating disorders without necessarily talking about the body. We have tried to bring an analysis on the relation between eating disorders and sexual functioning. Indeed, we observe that the various eating disorders present an altered and/or pathological physiological, emotional and behavioral sexual functioning. How is sexuality experienced by people with these conditions? Although each individual’s journey is unique and the experiences associated with eating disorders are also different, certain sexual and relational difficulties are often omnipresent. Understanding the role of eating disorders on sexual functioning and intimate relationships is essential to the development of effective therapeutic interventions for eating disorders
[Medico-psychological aspect relating to the coronavirus epidemic: implementation of a support strategy for nursing staff by coordinating doctors in rest and care homes in Belgium and in France and psychological impact for the residents of these private and public nursing and care homes].
More than a third of humanity is currently under containment due to the coronavirus pandemic. Containment has been in place in many countries for several weeks. Health authorities are on the warpath against a still mysterious virus and for which they are brought to inform the population while being confronted with many unknowns concerning the Covid-19. So what about mental health? What can generate a situation of containment with the population in quarantine? What psychological impact will this confinement have on our elderly people who are accommodated in rest and care homes in Belgium or in Ehpad in France? Currently, we are not yet aware of French-language articles already published in the medical-psychological aspects related to the coronavirus among the population. We will try, through this article, to approach the medico-psychological question of the nursing staff within the nursing homes and the psychological impact of the residents
