Dit onderzoek betreft het ontwikkelen en toetsen van een methode voor participatieve verkenningen op het gebied van klimaat en energie, waarbij partijen met een verschillende expertise zijn betrokken. De methode die het onderzoek heeft opgeleverd is Constructive Conflict Methodology genoemd. Uitgangspunt is dat een open dialoog primair tot doel heeft om conflicterende perspectieven helder naar voren te brengen en bespreekbaar te maken, waarbij de meer marginale (nieuwe) gezichtspunten evenveel aandacht verdienen als de meer gangbare perspectieven. Het verkennen van concurrerende denkbeelden en scenarios is een noodzakelijke voorwaarde voor beleidsgericht leren

Directions for a troubled discipline:strategy research, teaching and practice introduction to the dialog

This Dialog responds to a growing debate about the relevance of business schools generally and the value of strategy theory and research for strategic management practice. The authors propose that academic theory and management practice can be better connected through management education. The academy researches practice, derives theory, and returns it to practice through the development of teaching materials and the teaching of current and future practitioners. The three articles in this Dialog examine how different approaches to strategy research inform strategy teaching and its application to practice. Joseph Bower explains the rise of business policy and the process research approach that informed that teaching tradition at Harvard Business School. Robert Grant responds by emphasizing the economic theory underpinnings of strategic management research and its impact on teaching. Paula Jarzabkowski and Richard Whittington conclude by proposing a strategyas-practice perspective and suggesting ways to better incorporate strategy-as-practice research into strategy teaching

Propuesta de alternativa para la pacificación del tránsito frente a la sede 13 (calle 47 entre las carreras 13 y 14) de la Universidad Católica de Colombia

Trabajo de investigaciónEste proyecto busca generar espacios seguros para los peatones, con el fin de reducir los accidentes de tránsito, que al año 2018 según datos del IDECA, en la intersección de la carrera 13 con calle 47 se establecieron en 13. Gracias a las diferentes alternativas de pacificación del tránsito que se encuentran disponibles en la actualidad, se ha logrado disminuir los accidentes de tránsito, es por esto, que en esta investigación se propone diseñar un paso a nivel sobre la calle 47 entre Carreras 13 y 14, con el fin de ampliar las vías peatonales basándose en la cartilla de andenes para Bogotá de la Secretaria Distrital De Planeación y el Decreto 327 del 2004. De igual manera se verifico el nivel de servicio actual del andén del costado norte y el nivel de servicio que se prestará con las alternativas propuestas, finalmente se llevó a cabo una simulación de la condición actual de movilidad del corredor con el fin de determinar cómo se comportara el corredor con la alternativa planteada en la investigación. Todas las conclusiones de la investigación se basan en mejorar las condiciones de movilidad peatonal con el fin de conseguir una movilidad más segura y que no represente conflicto entre los diferentes actores viales del corredor.INTRODUCCIÓN 1. A user`s guide to LUGSAN II. A computer program to calculate and archive lug and sway brace loads for aircraft-carried stores

LUG and Sway brace ANalysis (LUGSAN) II is an analysis and database computer program that is designed to calculate store lug and sway brace loads for aircraft captive carriage. LUGSAN II combines the rigid body dynamics code, SWAY85, with a Macintosh Hypercard database to function both as an analysis and archival system. This report describes the LUGSAN II application program, which operates on the Macintosh System (Hypercard 2.2 or later) and includes function descriptions, layout examples, and sample sessions. Although this report is primarily a user`s manual, a brief overview of the LUGSAN II computer code is included with suggested resources for programmers

Knowledge, power and participation in environmental policy analysis: an introduction

Knowledge, power, and participation are absolutely central to the understanding of any policy. But it is the area of environmental policy issues where, from the 1970s onwards, an impressive knowledge base has become available across various disciplines and research traditions. The process of rethinking scientific and political rationality is evident in developments within converging fields such as political science, including international relations, public administration and implementation studies; the utilization of knowledge tradition in the policy sciences; the sociology of science and technology; technology and integrated environmental assessment; and philosophy of science. The study of environmental policy issues tends to bring about a convergence between research areas in political science that have stood apart for most of the twentieth century. The implications for political theory have drawn attention especially since the nuclear power issue provoked a flow of publications in the 1980s.
