DYNAMIC RESPONSE OF A WHEELSET TO VERTICAL FAULTS AT RAIL WELDS

In this paper, localised vertical geometrical faults at rail welds are considered. The aim is to predict maximum permissible irregularity sizes at such faults, assuming continuously welded track. To achieve this, the criteria of maximum accelerations and dynamic peak- wheel-rail forces between welds can be used. Theoretical results were partly controlled by experiments and discussed in relation to other studies

Metoda wyznaczania zmian sztywności pionowej toru na podstawie eksperymentu

This paper presents a method of estimation of the track vertical stiffness changes based on the measured track vertical deflections during quasistatic railway vehicle motion along the track. Measurements of deflections were performed on the selected railway track section for applied static axle load of the wagon. The measured deflections were used to estimate track vertical stiffness variations. The courses of these variations were considered on the basis of two series of experiments (1st and 2nd stage) executed on the same track section at ten months long interval. In both stages of the experiment weather conditions were close to each other.W artykule przedstawiono metodę wyznaczania zmian sztywności pionowej toru w oparciu o wyniki pomiarów ugięć pionowych toków szynowych podczas quasistatycznego przetaczania wagonu po torze. Pomiary tych ugięć na wybranym odcinku toru przy zadanych statycznych obciążeniach osiowych wagonu zostały wykorzystane do wyznaczenia zmian sztywności pionowej toru. Przebiegi tych zmian obliczono na podstawie dwóch serii eksperymentu (1. i 2. etap) wykonanych na tym samym odcinku toru w odstępie dziesięciomiesięcznym. Są one wykorzystywane w modelu symulacyjnym układu dynamicznego pojazd szynowy-tor. Overview of selected hydraulic devices supporting road rescue operations

The intense human activity determines the continuous development of systems and means of transport, which contributes to the intensification of existing road traffic risks and the emergence of new ones. Reduction in the number of fatalities of road accidents is dependent on investment in transport infrastructure, the development of safety systems for means of transport and the care for the technical condition of vehicles. Furthermore, the human factor is manifested in the growing awareness of hazards and improving skills of vehicle drivers. The article presents the construction, operating principles and technical capabilities of the most commonly used hydraulic rescue tools. All this was presented against the background of selected problems occurring during rescue operations while releasing victims caught in car wrecks

Wpływ relacji społecznych na rozwój rolnictwa ekologicznego na przykładzie powiatu świdwińskiego

Subject and purpose of work: The article presents the role of social relations between organic farmers and organic farming environment (representatives of local government, non-governmental organizations) in the development of organic farming in the Świdwin County. The aim of the paper is to explore the role of local leader and social capital in the process of organic the farming development in selected geographical area. Materials and methods: The research is based on both the analysis of existing data and the results of the study (Individual In-depth Interviews - IDIs and Focus Group Interview - FGI) carried out in 2016 with organic farmers and organic farming stakeholders incl. representatives of local government and non-governmental organizations. Results: The study shows a positive correlation between high level of social capital and a strong sector of organic farming. The key significance is given to a local leader activity. Conclusions: The development of a close network of social relations between organic farmers, and between organic farmers and their environment (representatives of local government and non-governmental organizations) determines the development of a strong sector of organic farming in the area. An important condition for the organic farming development is also recognition of this type of resources by the local authorities.Przedmiot i cel pracy: Artykuł ukazuje wpływ relacji społecznych pomiędzy rolnikami prowadzącymi gospodarstwa ekologiczne i otoczeniem instytucjonalnym (przedstawicielami samorządu lokalnego, instytucji pozarządowych) na rozwój rolnictwa ekologicznego na terenie powiatu świdwińskiego. Celem jest ukazanie roli silnego lokalnego lidera oraz kapitału społecznego w rozwoju rolnictwa ekologicznego na wybranym obszarze. Materiały i metody: W opracowaniu wykorzystano zarówno dane zastane dotyczące badanego obszaru jak i wyniki badań własnych realizowanych w 2016 roku (indywidualnych wywiadów pogłębionych – ang. IDI, oraz grupowego wywiadu zogniskowanego – ang. FGI) z rolnikami prowadzącymi gospodarstwa ekologiczne oraz z przedstawicielami samorządu i instytucji pozarządowych. Wyniki: Z przeprowadzonych badań wynika, że istnieje pozytywna korelacja pomiędzy wysokim kapitałem społecznym a silnym sektorem rolnictwa ekologicznego. Duże znaczenie odgrywa lider lokalny. Wnioski: Wypracowanie gęstej sieci relacji społecznych pomiędzy rolnikami prowadzącymi gospodarstwa ekologiczne, a także rolnikami i przedstawicielami władz samorządowych i instytucji pozarządowych warunkuje rozwój silnego sektora rolnictwa ekologicznego na danym terenie. W artykule zaprezentowano analizę wytrzymałościową wybranych elementów układu tłokowo korbowego jednocylindrowego silnika o zapłonie samoczynnym. Analizie poddane zostały: tłok, korbowód, wał korbowy oraz sworzeń tłokowy. Wykonano modele geometryczne części silnika, które poddano obliczeniom numerycznym wykonanym w programie ABAQUS. Zaprezentowana analiza obejmuje obliczenia dotyczące rozkładu naprężeń i przemieszczeń w modelach części, rozkładu temperatury, a także uwzględnia zachowanie się części pod wpływem działania sił bezwładności. W tej części artykułu przedstawiono analizę korbowodu oraz wału korbowego przedmiotowego silnika.The paper presents the strength analysis of selected elements of the piston-crank single-cylinder diesel engine. The piston, the connecting rod, the crankshaft and the piston pin were analyzed. The geometrical models of the engine that were made, were subjected to numerical calculations in the ABAQUS program. The presented analysis includes calculations of the distribution of stresses and displacements in the models of parts, the temperature distribution and it also includes the behavior of the parts under the influence of inertia. This section concentrates on the analysis of the connecting rod and the crankshaft of the single-cylinder diesel engine

The impact of stiffness of engine suspension cushions in an all-terrain vehicle on its transverse displacement

The article presents the results of experimental research carried out for different types of diesel engine suspension cushions (plate connectors) in two all-terrain cars. The study was performed using three types of engines in three combustion engines operating conditions. The analyzed parameters were transverse displacement engine vibrations caused during various engine operating conditions between the engine and body of the vehicle. The results of the tests of different types of plate connectors for engine suspension can be useful when designing propulsion systems for military vehicles and military utility all-terrain cars, or as shown by the author [4,5] to modernize the existing military vehicles. Vibrations transmitted to the body chassis can also have a significant impact on the operation of the vehicle mounted equipment and weaponry

Bezpieczeństwo pracy w sektorze rolnictwa w znacznej mierze zależy od fachowej wiedzy w kontekście wykonywanych czynności agrotechnicznych, postępowaniu ze zwierzętami gospodarskimi oraz obsługi maszyn i urządzeń wykorzystywanych w produkcji rolniczej. W artykule zaprezentowano problematykę zagrożenia hałasem w rolniczym środowisku pracy. Przedstawiono główne źródła hałasu w rolnictwie oraz poziomy normatywne dla maszyn i urządzeń wykorzystywanych w indywidualnych gospodarstwach rolniczych.
