New Model of Maximal Covering Location Problem with Fuzzy Conditions
The objective of Maximal Covering Location Problem is locating facilities such that they cover the maximal number of locations in a given radius or travel time. MCLP is applied in many different real-world problems with several modifications. In this paper a new model of MCLP with fuzzy conditions is presented. It uses two types of fuzzy numbers for describing two main parameters of MCLP - coverage radius and distances between locations. First, the model is defined, then Particle Swarm Optimization method for solving the problem is described and tested
Quality of Lessons in Traditional and Electronic Textbooks
The aim of this study is to verify and assess the quality of lessons in traditional and electronic textbook on general standards of textbooks quality. The method of theoretical analysis and content analysis was used. For the purpose of analyzing the contents of the sample we took teaching unit Measures and measurement from two textbooks: the traditional and the electronic. The electronic textbook, which has been the subject of research, is of quality and meets the standards of textbook quality
THE IMPORTANCE OF PSYCHODYNAMIC APPROACH DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC
The coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak was labeled a global pandemic by the WHO in March of 2020. Understanding how crisis influence an
individual’s reactions to stressful events (and vice versa) is important in order to create meaningful and effective interventions. Our literature search have revealed lack of the papers related to psychodynamic approach to recent crisis. Psychodynamic places a large emphasis on defense mechanisms and unconscious mind, where upsetting feelings, urges, and thoughts that are too painful for us to directly look at are housed. Even though these painful feelings and thoughts are outside of our awareness, they still influence our behavior in many ways. Optimal application of psychodynamic approach offers the frame for acceptance of psychological stress in a more positive way and benefits psychological growth. We believe that including psychodynamic approach in the national public and mental health emergency system will empower Croatia and the world during (and after) COVID-19 pandemic crisis
Solving Minimal Covering Location Problems with Single and Multiple Node Coverage
Location science represents a very attractiveresearch field in combinatorial optimization and it is in expansion in last five decades. The main objective of location problems is determining the best position for facilities in a given set of nodes.Location science includes techniques for modelling problemsand methods for solving them. This paper presents results of solving two types of minimal covering location problems, with single and multiple node coverage, by using CPLEX optimizer and Particle Swarm Optimization method
