Exact Controllability of Linear Stochastic Differential Equations and Related Problems
A notion of -exact controllability is introduced for linear controlled
(forward) stochastic differential equations, for which several sufficient
conditions are established. Further, it is proved that the -exact
controllability, the validity of an observability inequality for the adjoint
equation, the solvability of an optimization problem, and the solvability of an
-type norm optimal control problem are all equivalent
Applying the Convolutional Neural Network Deep Learning Technology to Behavioural Recognition in Intelligent Video
In order to improve the accuracy and real-time performance of abnormal behaviour identification in massive video monitoring data, the authors design intelligent video technology based on convolutional neural network deep learning and apply it to the smart city on the basis of summarizing video development technology. First, the technical framework of intelligent video monitoring algorithm is divided into bottom (object detection), middle (object identification) and high (behaviour analysis) layers. The object detection based on background modelling is applied to routine real-time detection and early warning. The object detection based on object modelling is applied to after-event data query and retrieval. The related optical flow algorithms are used to achieve the identification and detection of abnormal behaviours. In order to improve the accuracy, effectiveness and intelligence of identification, the deep learning technology based on convolutional neural network is applied to enhance the learning and identification ability of learning machine and realize the real-time upgrade of intelligence video’s "brain". This research has a good popularization value in the application field of intelligent video technology
Identification of in vitro metabolites of indinavir by “intelligent automated LC-MS/MS” (INTAMS) utilizing triple quadrupole tandem mass spectrometry
AbstractIn an effort to improve the efficiency of the TSQ 7000 LC-MS/MS system for identification of drug metabolites in biological matrices in support of drug discovery programs, a combination of instrument control language procedures for the Finnigan MAT TSQ 7000 mass spectrometer, referred to as INTAMS, were composed. INTAMS was designed to conduct unattended, automatic liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LC-MS) and LC-MS/MS analyses of drugs and metabolites in commonly encountered in vitro biological matrices. A novel peak detection algorithm was developed to automatically detect and record the pseudomolecular ions and retention times of chromatographic components, even if not fully resolved. This algorithm was used in combination with an automated technique for predicting the molecular weights of metabolites based on incremental changes of the molecular weight of the parent drug resulting from well-known biotransformation processes. When applied to a sample of an incubation mixture of the HIV protease inhibitor Indinavir with a rat liver S9 preparation, the results obtained by the automatic metabolite detection procedures for LC-MS and LC-MS/MS analyses in real time were the same as those which were determined manually, by a knowledgeable operator
Effect of sacubitril/valsartan on inflammation and oxidative stress in doxorubicin-induced heart failure model in rabbits
Our study evaluates the effects of sacubitril/valsartan (SAC/VAL) in the rabbit model of doxorubicin-induced heart failure. Twenty rabbits (5 per group) were administered with doxorubicin (DOX, 1.5 mg kg–1, i.v.) to induce heart failure. Specific biomarkers such as BNP, CnT, CRP and ROMs were determined. The cardiac enzymatic antioxidant systems were recorded with their electrographic profiles. HR, SBP, DBP and MAP were restored at 5 or 10 mg kg–1 (p.o.) of SAC/VAL compared to DOX, followed by reduced levels of creatinine and BNP (p < 0.001). Significant improvements (p < 0.05) compared to DOX were also noticed in CAT, SOD and LPO with the same doses of SAC/VAL. Specific biomarkers such as BNP, CnT, CRP and ROMs descended significantly (p < 0.001) with treatment when compared to their baseline values. Our findings implied that SAC/VAL treatment reduced the inflammation and oxidative stress to improve the cardiac function
Approach to E-Business: A Case Study of Shanghai Tobacco Group Corporation
With the fast development of Internet, e-Business is prospering in the recently five years. Many traditional companies have been convinced of this revolutionary change, and they are exploring a feasible way to adapt to the transition. Chinese companies have weaker bases than the developed countries, but they are also cognizant of the big trend, and are making great efforts to grasp the opportunities. This paper introduces a practical Chinese case that illustrates the increasingly strategic role of e-business applications in traditional manufacturing industries. The company we studied is a large Chinese tobacco corporation, which locates in Shanghai, one of the most developed areas of China. After the WTO entry of China, the regulation system of Chinese tobacco industry will be transformed from STMA (State Tobacco Monopoly Administration) to a more open one. This will bring about more competitive pressures to Chinese tobacco enterprises. How can traditional large corporations adapt to the real new economy in the new environment, it is a big problem that most of the Chinese tobacco corporation faced on. Sensing the challenges and opportunities, Shanghai Tobacco Group Corporation started to search after a new development way, and they intend to develop an e-business application model to improve its distribution processes to integrate their purchasing, manufacturing, delivering, logistics, and sales. Studying such a typical large company , it may be helpful for other large company in other industry.
This paper first reports the background of Chinese tobacco industry and a brief history of the IT applications in Shanghai Tobacco Group Corporation (in the next part we use SHTG for short), then we discusses the environment and business factors that led to the e-business application. Based on the above introductions and discussions, we illustrate an e-business solution to handle the situation SHTG faced
Camera Capture and Frame-Rate Synchronization in a Multi-Camera System
This publication describes methods and techniques that align auto exposures, frame length times, frames-per-second frequencies, and frame length lines, in a user equipment, such as a smartphone, that utilizes a multi-camera system. In one aspect, the multi-camera system contains one front-facing red-green-blue (RGB) camera and two front-facing infrared (IR) cameras. When a user utilizes the multi-camera system consisting of RGB camera(s) and IR camera(s) it may be referred to as RGB and IR depth (RGBIRD) image capturing. Although this publication illustrates RGBIRD image capturing with a smartphone with a multi-camera system that contains one RGB camera and two IR cameras, the same methods and techniques may be applied to a multi-camera system with one RGB camera and one IR camera, with one RGB camera and two IR cameras, with two RGB cameras and two IR cameras, with two RGB cameras and three IR cameras, any other combination of RGB and IR cameras, and any combination of cameras with different physical specifications
The Nematic Energy Scale and the Missing Electron Pocket in FeSe
Superconductivity emerges in proximity to a nematic phase in most iron-based
superconductors. It is therefore important to understand the impact of
nematicity on the electronic structure. Orbital assignment and tracking across
the nematic phase transition prove to be challenging due to the multiband
nature of iron-based superconductors and twinning effects. Here, we report a
detailed study of the electronic structure of fully detwinned FeSe across the
nematic phase transition using angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy. We
clearly observe a nematicity-driven band reconstruction involving dxz, dyz, and
dxy orbitals. The nematic energy scale between dxz and dyz bands reaches a
maximum of 50 meV at the Brillouin zone corner. We are also able to track the
dxz electron pocket across the nematic transition and explain its absence in
the nematic state. Our comprehensive data of the electronic structure provide
an accurate basis for theoretical models of the superconducting pairing in

Sublingual allergen immunotherapy with a liquid birch pollen product in patients with seasonal allergic rhinoconjunctivitis with or without asthma
Background: Sublingual allergen immunotherapy (SLIT) has been demonstrated to be both clinically efficacious and safe. However, in line with the current regulatory guidance from the European Medicines Agency, allergen immunotherapy (AIT) products must demonstrate their efficacy and safety in pivotal phase III trials for registration.
Objective: We sought to investigate the efficacy and safety of sublingual high-dose liquid birch pollen extract (40,000 allergy units native [AUN]/mL) in adults with birch pollen allergy.
Methods: A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group multicenter trial was conducted in 406 adult patients with moderate-to-severe birch pollen-induced allergic rhinoconjunctivitis with or without mild-to-moderate controlled asthma. Treatment was started 3 to 6 months before the birch pollen season and continued during the season in 40 clinical study centers in 5 European countries. For primary end point assessment, the recommended combined symptom and medication score of the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology was used. Secondary end points included quality-of-life assessments, immunologic parameters, and safety.
Results: Primary efficacy results demonstrated a significant (P < .0001) and clinically relevant (32%) reduction in the combined symptom and medication score compared with placebo after 3 to 6 months of SLIT. Significantly better rhinoconjunctivitis quality-of-life scores (P < .0001) and the patient's own overall assessment of his or her health status, including the visual analog scale score (Euro Quality of Life Visual Analogue Scale; P = .0025), were also demonstrated. In total, a good safety profile of SLIT was observed.
Conclusion: This study confirmed both the clinical efficacy and safety of a sublingual liquid birch pollen extract in adults with birch pollen allergy in a pivotal phase III trial (EudraCT: 2013-005550-30; ClinicalTrials. gov: NCT02231307)
