Community In Postmodern Philosophy With An Emphasis On The Work Of Jean-Luc Nancy
In the postmodern condition, when values, norms, meanings grow uncertain and lose their ground, when morality, politics, family, and many other social institutions inherited from the so-called modernity cease to serve us one by one, community itself becomes problematic. On what basis can it be erected? God, humanity, bnature - everything has become suspect. Perhaps only one possibility remains at our disposal: to take the very lack of consistency as a basis for community. Postmodern philosophy attempts this. It seeks a third path between myth and nihilism, that is, between traditional unitary community and the absence of community. This way is claimed to be found in the community undoing itself, or, better, in the very undoing of community. The absence of myth (as well as a community based on it) is thought, contrary to nihilism, not as lack and nothing. The very rejection of myth is a work - if I can use the word here - of community. The impossibility of immanence and closed up identity is supposed to be a basis for an understanding of community that obviates the abysses of both totalitarianism and nihilism. To put it simply, the impossibility of the One, of the Absolute leads immediately to multiplicity and thus to irreducible community
Raman and XPS analyses of pristine and annealed N-doped double-walled carbon nanotubes
N-doped single/multi-walled carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were studied for long
time from synthesis to properties. However, the stability of N in the CNT
lattice still needs further developments. In this work, to obtain more stable
N-doped CNTs, concentric double-walled (DW) CNTs with more N were synthesized
using benzylamine as C and N source. In order to test the stability of N-doped
DWCNTs, high-temperature annealing in vacuum was performed. By XPS and Raman
spectroscopic measurements, we found that the N-doped DWCNTs are still stable
under 1500 \,^{\circ}\mathrm{C}: the graphitic N does not change at all, the
molecular N is partly removed, and the pyridinic N ratio greatly increases by
more than two times. The reason could be that the N atoms from the surrounded
N-contained materials combine into the CNT lattice during the annealing.
Compared with the undoped DWCNTs, no Raman frequency shift was observed for the
RBM, the G-band, and the G'-band of the N-doped DWCNTs.Comment: 6 pages, 5 figure

The paper examines some potential problems of the theory of cross-world predication by E. Borisov and suggests alternative formalizations in terms of type theory with dependent types and set theory. The advantage of the type-theoretical formalization lies in its simplicity based on the presence of functions to dependent types.
