    E-Business Security Architectures

    Get PDF
By default the Internet is an open high risk environment and also the main place where the e-business is growing. As result of this fact, the paper aims to highlight the security aspects that relate to distributed applications [3], with reference to the concept of e-business. In this direction will analyze the quality characteristics, considered to be important by the author. Based on these and on existing e-business architectures will be presented a particularly diagram which will reflect a new approach to the concept of future e-business. The development of the new architecture will have its stands based on technologies that are used to build the applications of tomorrow.e-business, distributed applications, security, architecture, technology

The accounting synthesis documents represents an informing social system created for the satisfaction of the informing user’s needs, needs determined by political and social purposes. The financial informing policies described by the annual synthesis accounting documents architecture are different in accordance with their needs. The official documents for presenting the financial – economical situation are the annual financial statements.accounting synthesis documents, annual financial statements, accounting information, financial informing policies.

LIFECYCLE BASED AUDIT PROCESS FOR DISTRIBUTED APPLICATIONS

    Get PDF
The paper wishes to present the audit process as part of a distributed framework in which a new set of metrics are built. The requirements for an audit process are described and on each of the lifecycle stages, the audit process is emphasized. The existing quality characteristics models from the literature are analyzed based on which a new set of metrics are built for sustaining the overall audit process.audit process, distributed applications, metrics and lifecycle

THE OPINION OF THE AMERICAN LEGISLATORS ON THE BALANCE SHEET

    Get PDF
The financial reports seldom represent for the American society the only source of information available directly from the entity. The name for the financial statements has not been standardized yet. The American legislators determine the general rules by the mean of the norms issued for the presentation of the accounts, but without imposing specific names or formats for the documents. The terms used must be explicit, for example the Balance Sheet is also known as Statements of the Financial Position/Condition. Specific for the American companies is the fact they are not compelled to elaborate a standard balance sheet; it has generally the form of a table or a list and the order of the columns and posts is reverse than the one we know.financial reports, financial statements, balance sheet, assets, liabilities, stockholders’ equity

OLD AND NEW CONFIGURATIONS REGARDING THE CONCEPT OF ECONOMIC PERFORMANCE

    Get PDF
The performance is generally known to be a special achievement in a field of activity. The measurement of performances represents a system of control techniques meant to make sure that the achievements from various centers of responsibility within the enterprise are in conformity with the norms established for each of them and to apply positive or negative sanctions if the achievements are sensitively off track from the selected norms. In the economic specialized literature, the performance is perceived in three different ways, respectively: performance - the strategic objectives’ achievement level; - defining performance depending on the creation of value; - efficiency versus efficacy in defining the performance. The performance of the enterprise is known nowadays under the name of sustainable development, a concept targeting the achievement of three objectives: - the growth of the enterprise’s financial performance; -the development of its surrounding environment’s efficacy; - the favoring of the social development.performance, economic performance, internal value, external value, sustainable development, efficiency, efficacy, enterprise.

Security Optimization for Distributed Applications Oriented on Very Large Data Sets

    Get PDF
The paper presents the main characteristics of applications which are working with very large data sets and the issues related to security. First section addresses the optimization process and how it is approached when dealing with security. The second section describes the concept of very large datasets management while in the third section the risks related are identified and classified. Finally, a security optimization schema is presented with a cost-efficiency analysis upon its feasibility. Conclusions are drawn and future approaches are identified.Security, Optimization, Very Large Data Sets, Distributed Applications

Collaborative Virtual Organizations in Knowledge-based Economy

    Get PDF
The paper establishes the content of the virtual organizations concept, insisting on their collaborative nature. Types of virtual organizations architectures are developed and there are analyzed their characteristics compared to classical organizations existing in the pre-informational economy. There are presented virtual organizations for education, production and banking, focusing on their collaborative side. Metrics are built to evaluate the performance of collaborative virtual organizations

Digital technology enablers for resilient and customer driven food value chains

    Get PDF
Food production chains have to respond to disrupted global markets and dynamic customer demands. They are coming under pressure to move from a supply to a demand-driven business model. The inherent difficulties in the lifecycle management of food products, their perishable nature, the volatility in global and regional supplier and customer markets, and the mix of objective and subjective drivers of customer demand and satisfaction, compose a challenging food production landscape. Businesses need to navigate through dynamically evolving operational risks and ensure targeted performance in terms of supply chain resilience and agility, as well as transparency and product assurance. While the industrial transition to digitalised and automated food production chains is seen as a response to such challenges, the contribution of industry 4.0 technology enablers towards this aim is not sufficiently well understood. This paper outlines the key features of high performing food production chains and performs a mapping between them and enabling technologies. As digitalisation initiatives gain priority, such mapping can help with the prioritisation of technology enablers on delivering key aspects of high performing food production chains
