    Investigating Media-User Interaction for Public Play Space in a Smart City

    The problem of focusing only on the efficiency of an ICTs’ digital convergence in technology-oriented smart city construction has been raised. To address this problem, Plan Smart City Comprehensive Plan is in progress, excluding play spaces in public spaces where the city and users communicate directly or indirectly. In addition, when looking at Christopher Alexander’s 253 pattern languages, which many scholars and experts consider as a study guide for urban planning projects, there is no design alternative for ICTs’ digital convergence for future smart cities. Therefore, in this study, we propose a 4th plan model for ICTs’ future smart city development regarding digital technology and a place-oriented digilog strategic plan. This model proposal is applied to an actual project where the user and the space can interact based on the user’s behavior analysis using the keywords of participation, sharing, and cooperation in the public play space. This study aims to verify the rational method of the ICTs’ smart city Future 4th plan model alternative. There is a strategic plan for ICTs’ participatory media user interaction in a public play space in which: 1. the way people behave in the space; 2. the way people interact with the space; 3. the way people accept the actions of others for entertainment and enjoyment. This study can contribute as a strategic plan for ICTs’ participatory media-user interaction in a public play space; it can contribute to the rational design of the presentation of digilog strategic planning

    Comparison of Jaw Mode and Field Width for Left-Breast Cancer Using TomoDirect Three-Dimensional Conformal Radiation Therapy: A Phantom Study

    It is very important to use effective parameters in the treatment plan of breast cancer patients in TomoDirect (TD)-three-dimensional conformal radiation therapy (TD-3DCRT). The objective of this study was to compare the radiation treatment plans to the parameters (jaw width and jaw mode) of TD-3DCRT for left-breast cancer. This study was conducted using the phantom, the jaw mode (fixed and dynamic) and field width (2.5 cm and 5.0 cm) were controlled to compare the TD-3DCRT treatment plans. There was small difference in the conformity index (CI) and homogeneity index (HI) values for target according to the jaw mode for each field width. As a result of observation in terms of dose, treatment time and unnecessary damage to surrounding normal organs could be minimized when dynamic jaw with a field width of 5.0 cm was used. In conclusion, we verified that the use of dynamic jaws and 5.0 cm field width was effective in left-breast cancer radiotherapy plan using TD-3DCRT

    DNA Methylation and gene expression patterns are widely altered in fetal growth restriction and associated with FGR development

    Fetal growth restriction (FGR) is the failure of the fetus toachieve its genetically determined growth potential, which increasesrisks for a variety of genetic diseases, such as type 2 diabetes mellitus, coronary artery disease, and stroke, during the lifetime. The dysregulation of DNA methylationis known to interact with environmental fluctuations, affect gene expressions comprehensively, and be fatal to fetus development in specific cases. Therefore, we set out to find out epigenetic and transcriptomic alterations associated with FGR development. We found a set of differentially expressed genes associated with differentially methylated regions in placentae and cord blood samples. Using dimensional reduction analysis, the expression and methylation variables of the epigenetically altered genes classified the FGR samples from the controls. These genes were also enriched in the biological pathways such as metabolism and developmental processes related to FGR. Furthermore, three genes of INS, MEG3, and ZFP36L2 are implicated in epigenetic imprinting, which has been associated with FGR. These results strongly suggest that DNA methylation is highly dysregulated during FGR development, and abnormal DNA methylation patterns are likely to alter gene expression
