Contact Engineering Approach to Improve the Linearity of Multilevel Memristive Devices

    No full text
Physical mechanisms underlying the multilevel resistive tuning over seven orders of magnitude in structures based on TiO2/Al2O3 bilayers, sandwiched between platinum electrodes, are responsible for the nonlinear dependence of the conductivity of intermediate resistance states on the writing voltage. To improve the linearity of the electric-field resistance tuning, we apply a contact engineering approach. For this purpose, platinum top electrodes were replaced with aluminum and copper ones to induce the oxygen-related electrochemical reactions at the interface with the Al2O3 switching layer of the structures. Based on experimental results, it was found that electrode material substitution provokes modification of the physical mechanism behind the resistive switching in TiO2/Al2O3 bilayers. In the case of aluminum electrodes, a memory window has been narrowed down to three orders of magnitude, while the linearity of resistance tuning was improved. For copper electrodes, a combination of effects related to metal ion diffusion with oxygen vacancies driven resistive switching was responsible for a rapid relaxation of intermediate resistance states in TiO2/Al2O3 bilayers

While defining rational constructive and technological underground mining technique parameters we should consider many factors, especially in caving methods. The experience of exploiting caving technologies shows that the use of traditional designs of this technique is not always efficient and economically expedient. The article presents alternative caving methods, developed by specialists of the department for "Geotechnologies of mineral resources development" of the Moscow Mining Institute, for the conditions of Kola Peninsula polymetallic deposits, chromite deposits of Western Kazakhstan. In this work the effect of post-harvesting aerosol spraying with calcium-containing preparations Master Green Ca (1.75 g/l) and Brentax KCa (2.5 g/l) on changes in the indicators of commercial quality and natural weight loss of grape cv. Shokoladniy in the dynamics of long-term storage was studied. The studies were carried out in 2019-2020. Experimental samples were collected on the 30th and 60th day of storage. It has been established that aerosol spraying contributed to a decrease in the natural loss of bunch weight by 5.7- 6.5%. The amount of total sugars in experimental samples decreased to the 60th day of storage by 15.3% and 10.2% compared to the control. The preparations positively impacted organoleptic indicators during the storage: the tasting assessment of experimental batches of grapes to the end of storage exceeded the control by 6.7-10.3%

Postharvest treatments with calcium-based bioactivators to preserve table grape quality (Vitis vinifera L) cv. Red Globe during storage

The article presents the results of studies on the use of calcium-based bioactivators in aerosol spraying of V. vinifera L cv. Red Globe in the postharvest period and the assessment of its impact on the quality of grapes during storage (30 and 90 days). In the international practice calcium-containing preparations are widely used to solve problems of quality preservation of the resulting crops. Level of calcium in fruits and berries affects the duration of storage by increasing the resistance to pathogens. Calcium-containing preparations are safe for human health and can become good alternative to synthetic fungicides and SO2 when storing and improving the quality of table grapes. In the work we used calcium-based bioactivators Brentax Ca in concentrations of 50 and 75g per 20l of water; Brentax KCa - in concentration of working mixture - 50g / 20l and Master Green Ca in concentration of 35g / 20l. The following parameters were evaluated: mass concentration of dry matter and titratable acids, weight loss of bunch and organoleptic parameters.High efficiency was performed by preparations Master Green Ca and Brentax Ca 50. Their use made it possible to reduce significantly the weight loss of bunch towards the end of storage by 45 and 34% compared to the control, to preserve organoleptic parameters (7.8 and 7.6 points), respectively, at the level of fresh grapes during storage owing to safekeeping of stem in a flexible condition, preservation of natural color, turgor of berries and balanced flavor. The data obtained will allow improve the system of long-term storage of grapes due to the use of calcium-based bioactivators Master Green Ca and Brentax Ca in concentration 50g / 20l of water

Foliar Fertilizers as A Method Of Phenolic Ripeness Control

    No full text
Due to global warming, there is a problem to correlate technical and phenolic ripeness in modern viticulture. This study is focused on the use of foliar fertilizers in order to combine the time of beginning of phenolic and technical ripeness. The studies were carried out in 2022 in the conditions of mountain-valley coastal viticulture zone of the Republic of Crimea. Foliar top dressing was carried out with the preparation ‘Agrogemo’ (LLC Pontis, Russian Federation) on wine grape varieties ‘Bastardo Magarachskiy’ and ‘Malbec’. The Glories method was used to estimate the ripeness degree of grapes. The principle of it is to determine the total and extractable anthocyanin potential of grapes. Using of foliar fertilizers made it possible to increase the yield of ‘Bastardo Magarachskiy’ variety by 15.3%, and ‘Malbec’ variety by 18.1%. It was found that the experimental treatment scheme contributed to the later beginning of technical ripeness of grapes, i.e. a low percentage of non-extractable anthocyanins from grape skin compared to the control. Base wines obtained from grapes with the use of organic-mineral fertilizer were characterized by the intense color, balanced aroma and flavor

Changes in phenolic complex of table grapes of ‘Italia’ cultivar during long-term storage

This work presents characteristics of qualitative and quantitative composition of phenolic compounds and their changes during long-term storage of ‘Italia’ table grapevine cultivar. The studies were carried out using method of HPLC on a Shimadzu LC 20 Prominence chromatograph with diode-array detector of ultraviolet and visible range. Grapes were sampled fresh and after long-term storage (60 days). Three groups of phenolic compounds were identified: hydroxycinnamic acids, procyanidins, and flavonols. It is established that major components of phenolic complex of ‘Italia’ grapes are procyanidins, specifically d-catechin and epicatechin, amounting 33% and 34%, respectively, and also procyanidin B2 with high proportion of 19%. At the end of long-term storage, a decrease in the mass concentration of phenolic compounds was revealed, the content of hydroxycinnamic acids decreased by 62,3%, procyanidins by 50,1%, and flavonols by 51,0%. A decrease in the activity of polyphenoloxidase enzyme to 60th day of storage by 8,53%, relative to the control, was established. In the process of analysis of variance, statistically significant differences in the components of phenolic profile in grapes of ‘Italia’ cultivar between the beginning and end of storage were established using Student's t-test, which varied from 4,43*10-15 to 6,07*10-7, being so significantly less than 0,05

One of the main factors increasing the productivity of vineyards and the quality of fresh grapes during storage is the use of vegetative treatments with bioregulators of various physiological effects. This work is devoted to the study and comparative assessment of various foliar treatments with the growth regulator "Albit", "Glycerol" and a complex of fertilizers LLC "Biochefarm Rus" on agro biological and commercial quality characteristics of the table grape variety ‘Moldova’ during the longterm storage. Foliar treatments were carried out in the main phases of the growing season: 'before flowering', 'after flowering', 'the beginning of growth', 'the beginning of ripening'. Sampling for analyzes was carried out for 30, 90 and 150 days of storage. It was found that foliar treatment leading to a significant increase in cropping capacity of grapes by 26.8% ("Biochefarm"), 36.5% ("Albit") and 20.0% ("Glycerol"). The increase in the average weight of the bunch in the experimental variants grew by 29.6-31.3%. The use of experimental schemes of foliar treatments made it possible to increase the keeping quality of table grapes: the weight loss of bunch decreased by 0.3-3.5%. The tasting assessment of the experimental batches of grapes at the end of storage exceeded the control by 5.6-6.9%
